"Heavy Blankets" draws inspiration from the Grateful Dead's 1965-1972 psychedelic period and features Bruckert on lead vocals, guitars and mandolin, Larry Cruz on baritone ukulele, Jon Rogers on bass and alto ukulele, Kevin Ford on keys, Joe Scott on drums and Caleb Ramos on additional guitars and vocals. The track was produced and engineered by Kevin Ford with Caleb Ramos acting as second engineer.

Described as "beautifully hazy psych-pop" by The Deli Magazine, "Heavy Blankets" received airplay via WLUW, WNUR, CHIRP and Lumpen Radio and was featured on various specialty shows and podcasts including Adventures in Plasticland, The Music Authority and It's Psychedelic, Baby.
