Following four days of standout performances, community experiences, and near-perfect fall weather, Suwannee Hulaween has officially concluded its 2026 edition, delivering one of the festival’s most memorable weekends in its 13-year history.
Welcoming nearly 20,000 attendees back to Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, Hulaween celebrated one of its strongest-selling editions since the pandemic, reaffirming its place as one of North America’s most distinctive destination music festivals.
With clear skies and no rain throughout the weekend, the festival’s sprawling forest grounds set the stage for genre-defying performances, unexpected collaborations, immersive fan experiences, and environmental initiatives – reinforcing Hulaween’s unique position within the American festival landscape.
THURSDAY: A HIGH-ENERGY HOMECOMING TO SUWANNEE
Hulaween’s opening day welcomed thousands of returning festivalgoers and first-time attendees back beneath the towering forests of Spirit of the Suwannee.

The day featured several notable festival debuts, led by bass music powerhouse Excision, who made his first appearance on Hulaween’s Meadows Main Stage. The Meadows also hosted Hamdi and rising artist Richard Finger, while the Amphitheater welcomed Irish electronic standout KETTAMA for his Hulaween debut.
Rising house talents Dean Turnley and Riordan rounded out a strong opening day, highlighting the festival’s continued commitment to pairing emerging artists with established names.
FRIDAY: HULA HANGS REDEFINES THE ARTIST-FAN EXPERIENCE
Friday’s inaugural Hula Hangs activations emerged as some of the weekend’s defining moments, creating new ways for artists and attendees to connect beyond the stage.
OPIUO Bike Club drew approximately 200 participants for a group ride through the festival grounds alongside OPIUO, transforming an afternoon bike ride into a celebration of music, movement, and community.
Later, Plant a Seed with Of The Trees attracted more than 1,000 attendees for a conservation-focused experience led by Of The Trees, the Alderwild Nature Fund, and WWALS Watershed Coalition / Suwannee Riverkeeper.
Together, the artist, conservation experts, and fans planted 250 native longleaf pine seedlings, supporting local ecological restoration while learning about the Suwannee watershed and surrounding habitats.
Friday’s Hula Hangs programming also included Serenity with Steller, an intimate mindfulness and guided journaling experience at the Incendia Stage.

Musically, STS9 made its return to Suwannee, while Of The Trees closed the Amphitheater as part of his Memory Palace label takeover before surprising fans with an unannounced back-to-back set alongside LYNY at the DEF: Off Limits Stage.
SATURDAY: PRETTY LIGHTS, JAM LEGENDS, AND MAIN STAGE MOMENTS
Saturday delivered some of the weekend’s most talked-about performances across electronic music, improvisational rock, and live production.
At the center was Pretty Lights, whose Meadows Main Stage headline set became one of Hulaween 2026’s defining musical moments.
Despite two unexpected generator interruptions, the festival extended the performance by approximately 30 minutes, allowing the Pretty Lights live band to continue into the late-night hours. What could have been a frustrating setback instead became a memorable example of the connection between artist, festival, and audience.

Elsewhere, The Warren Haynes Incident headlined Saturday's special Shebang performance, celebrating the musical legacies of The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band while reinforcing Hulaween’s deep-rooted connection to improvisational music. Karina Rykman also joined The String Cheese Incident for a special sit-in, adding another memorable collaboration to the festival's longstanding jam tradition.
Electronic trio Levity also delivered a standout performance on the upgraded Hallows Stage, whose expanded 2026 production elevated the experience during a breakthrough year for the group.

Saturday's late-night programming also delivered an unexpected collaboration at the DEF: Off Limits Stage, where Green Velvet, Tini Gessler, and Jackie Hollander joined forces for a surprise back-to-back-to-back set, further showcasing the spontaneous performances that have become a hallmark of Hulaween.
SUNDAY: BIG GRAMATIK REUNITES AS HULAWEEN CLOSES IN STYLE

Sunday brought another series of memorable performances, including the Hulaween debut of Geese and the highly anticipated return of Big Gramatik.
Reuniting Big Gigantic and Gramatik, the special set blended live instrumentation, funk, hip-hop, and electronic music – the type of rare collaboration that has long defined Hulaween’s spirit of experimentation and spontaneity.
BEYOND THE MUSIC: THE MAGIC OF SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE
While the lineup delivered no shortage of highlights, much of Hulaween’s lasting impact came from its setting.
Few festival venues in North America offer the same combination of natural beauty, creative freedom, and immersive infrastructure as Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, where Spanish moss-draped forests, winding pathways, riverside scenery, and expansive campgrounds make the environment inseparable from the festival itself.

Throughout the weekend, attendees transformed the grounds through elaborate campsites, costumes, and nightly themes including The Cocoon & The Moon, Hula Fae Cabaret, Bioluminescent Dream Forest, and Any-Shade Masquerade.
At the center of it all, Spirit Lake once again served as a centerpiece of Hulaween’s immersive art programming, combining installations, illuminated environments, projection mapping, and interactive experiences. The 2026 edition marked the return of Spirit Lake's full 360-degree experience, restoring the ability for attendees to explore the immersive environment around the entire lake.
The 2026 edition also featured continued investments in the attendee experience, including enhanced stage production, expanded VIP amenities, and improved festival access. New additions included the Wellness Barn, a dedicated space accessible to both GA and VIP attendees, as well as the Heart of VIP Camp, a new area connected to VIP camping that offered views of both the Meadows and Hallows stages.
Together, these elements reinforced what has long distinguished Hulaween: the festival is defined not by any single headliner, stage, or genre, but by the collective experience created at Suwannee.
A DEFINING YEAR FOR THE SOUTHEAST FESTIVAL COMMUNITY
Hulaween’s successful 2026 edition arrived during a period of uncertainty for the North American festival circuit, particularly in the Southeast.

With major regional gatherings including Bonnaroo and Okeechobee Music Festival announcing pauses for 2027, Hulaween’s strong attendance and enthusiastic reception offered an encouraging signal for fans who continue to value immersive, multigenre festival experiences.
From 200 fans cycling through the forest with OPIUO to more than 1,000 attendees joining Of The Trees for native tree restoration, many of the weekend’s most meaningful moments happened away from the traditional concert stage.
Combined with unforgettable performances from Pretty Lights, Excision, STS9, The Warren Haynes Incident, Levity, Big Gramatik, and countless others, those experiences illustrated the depth of what Hulaween continues to offer.
After 13 years, Hulaween remains a testament to the power of music, art, and community – and a reminder that the most memorable festival experiences are often the ones that could only happen in one place.
