Fast rising alt/americana and bluegrass band Kitchen Dwellers are continuing their upswing with a number of sell-out shows during their recent February tour. Denver-based band Sour Magic is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of their third single, "High Tide". Set to drop on Friday March 10th, this crackling warm track is promising to reshape the band’s sound again, just in time for sunny weather.

“This one’s a throwback Surf jam in many ways, but, as always with Sour Magic, there’s a dramatic twist or irony. It’s about rising tides, climbing temperatures, distrust of authority, and the seeming hopelessness of it all” said Bass player Drew Morse.

Boundary-breaking and genre-defying are handy terms to use in describing musical artists, but while they can lend a certain cachet to a project, music that really eludes easy description is actually pretty rare. Still, if such terms can be applied to any group at all, the Jon Stickley Trio is at the head of the line for such treatment.

A brand new music festival is coming to the Catskills this fall, and it promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year. On Friday, March 24 at 8 PM, Flushing Town Hall will present Octogenarian Women of Jazz during Women’s History Month.

“Time takes its toll,” sings the 77-year-old Bruce Cockburn on the opening song, “On A Roll,” his 35th album, O Sun O Moon, out on May 12 via True North Records.  “But in my soul / I’m on a roll.”
