Denver-based band Sour Magic is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of their third single, "High Tide". Set to drop on Friday March 10th, this crackling warm track is promising to reshape the band’s sound again, just in time for sunny weather.
“This one’s a throwback Surf jam in many ways, but, as always with Sour Magic, there’s a dramatic twist or irony. It’s about rising tides, climbing temperatures, distrust of authority, and the seeming hopelessness of it all” said Bass player Drew Morse.
The song showcases Sour Magic's signature blend of neo psychedelia and indie rock influences, this time with a heaping helping of surf rock.
Sour Magic burst onto the scene in 2021 with their debut single "Indigo", which quickly gained traction and earned critical acclaim. Their second release, "Means to an End", showcased the band's versatility and cemented their status as one of Denver's most promising up-and-coming acts.
"High Tide" will be available on all major streaming platforms starting March 10th. And will also be featured on the ‘High Plains Psych Exchange’ vinyl being released on April 15th for Record Store Day.
