Charles, who revolutionized the country genre and brought it to new audiences with albums like 1962’s Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music, will be inducted in the "Veterans Era Artist" category.

Stony Plain Records announces an October 22 release date for Pinky’s Blues, the new album from award-winning blues guitarist/singer Sue Foley. Featuring several Sue Foley originals, as well as songs from some of her favorite blues and roots artists, Pinky’s Blues was recorded at Fire Station Studios in San Marcos, Texas. Joining Sue Foley (guitar, vocals) for the recording sessions were Jon Penner (bass), Chris “Whipper” Layton (drums) and Mike Flanigin (Hammond B3 organ), who also produced the album.

A homecoming of sorts, this will mark the thirteenth edition of this neighborhood festival which will play host to a diverse collection of genres.
Phish and their dedicated followers descended into Atlantic City, NJ last night, and took over the famed boardwalk for a night of chock full of jams on the Atlantic City Beach. Located on the north side of Playground Pier between Arkansas and Kentucky avenues, the venue had capacity for 40,000, which is the largest on the summer tour. The band is in town for the weekend, and will play three nights at this unique and special venue in the Garden State.
