Dead Floyd is a celebration of the music of two of rock and roll’s greatest bands, The Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd, mashed together into one high-energy, unpredictable show. Drawing from both extensive catalogs of music, the Dead Floyd performances include early rarities to modern classics and everything in between.

Legendary blues preservationists Hot Tuna performed a three-night engagement in Berkeley’s storied Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse to bid farewell to 2018. On the eve of their fiftieth anniversary together as Hot Tuna, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady were unmistakably grateful to be still playing and creating together.

Rocky Dawuni, the international music star/global ambassador and humanitarian activist, announces the release of his highly anticipated 7th studio album Beats of Zion, out March 8th, 2019 via Six Degrees Distribution. SnowGlobe Music Festival presented by MTV returned this past weekend to California’s breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountains to host the country’s largest outdoor New Year’s music festival. With over 40 groundbreaking artists performing on multiple stages over 3 nights, the 8th annual event saw approximately 20,000 daily attendees throughout the weekend. The 2018 event brought in the new year with expanded and newly designed gathering areas including the MTV Lodge, unique art installations, Big Air ski and snowboard showcases between Main Stage sets, firework displays and more.

Florida-based nonprofit To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) is bringing hope into the new year with the conclusion of their month-long giving campaign. The organization surpassed their goal of $125k by raising nearly $134k. The campaign is anchored by the idea that each gift and donation will make it possible for TWLOHA to reach new communities, share more stories, and connect thousands of people to the help they need and deserve.

Stony Plain Records announces a February 8 release date for Amour, a new CD teaming the roots music guitar talents of Colin Linden and Luther Dickinson. The CD was produced by Colin Linden, recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, and features a backing band dubbed “The Tennessee Valentines:” Dominic Davis – bass; Bryan Owings – drums; Fats Kaplin – violin and accordion; and Kevin McKendree – keyboards.
