THE MUSIC OF CREAM - DISRAELI GEARS TOUR

There’s nobody quite like Roger Kellaway. In a career that has stretched over the last 60 years, while performing with many of the legendary jazz musicians of his time he has also written memorable film and television scores, composed classical works for major symphony orchestras, inspired what came to be known as “new age” music, and provided essential accompaniment and musical direction for iconic figures of American popular music like Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Van Morrison and Joni Mitchell.

It all started in the Haight Ashbury over 50 years ago: from the psychedelic ballroom bands of the late 1960's, the Grateful Dead emerged and went on to have a robust 30-year career with Jerry Garcia and another 24+ years post-Garcia. Rather than sticking with a scripted set list, the band flowed into the unfamiliar territory of improvisational concert celebrations that broke down the boundaries between musician and audience.

Known for their Patsy Cline-inspired lead vocalist and “Spaghetti Western Swing” style, The Carolyn Sills Combo has come together for a dramatic reimagining of a time-honored country classic: Marty Robbins’ “El Paso.”

The Jon Stickley Trio, one of the roots music scene’s most progressive and innovative voices, has released a video for their latest single, "Animate Object" after a premiere by The Bluegrass Situation.
