Yesterday witnessed the first day of the first ever North Beach Music Festival, taking place at North Beach Bandshell in Miami, Florida. The day saw performances from some local acts like The Heavy Pets, and then later on saw headlining sets from the likes of The Motet, Karina Rykman, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
The long-awaited seventh, full-length cinematic studio album, Chaos Companion, from electro-prog quartet TAUK is finally here. The collection, complete with nine instrumental tracks, takes listeners on a celestial journey reminiscent of 70’s film scores, 80’s video games, 90’s R&B and modern dance music. The newest offering from the band elevates their sound to new heights as they seamlessly blend futuristic electronic elements with old school rock, funk and soul.
North Beach Music Festival, set to happen at Miami Beach's historic North Beach Bandshell this December, has shared daily lineups. The wait is finally over for fans of electro-prog four-piece, TAUK, as they announce a full-length instrumental LP, Chaos Companion, due out September 24th. Over nine tracks, Chaos Companion is a cinematic collection that hints at everything from 70’s film scores and 80’s video games to 90’s R&B and modern dance music. The immersive record blurs the lines between analog and electronic as it balances old school grit and futuristic sheen in equal measure.
Earlier this month, TAUK shared "Moon Dub," their first studio release since March 2020. Today, the New York-bred ensemble shares the track's extraterrestrial-inspired video, directed by Dani Barbieri. Accompanying the fully instrumental track, listeners can join TAUK on a journey from Earth to outer space, with infectious beats and expansive sonic exploration. The vintage-tinged video chronicles the four-piece as they suit up, prepare for a space expedition and fly to the moon for a gravity-defying performance.
After a triumphant return to the stage last weekend at Peach Music Festival, TAUK is eager to hit the road and headline their own shows on the Chaos Companion Tour as the world opens again.
