After the performances from supporting acts Vintage Pistol and DeeOhGee, Kendall Street Company took the stage at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY just after 10:15pm on a cool night.

Austin, TX based band Superfónicos is the musical meeting point between Colombia, Africa and the U.S. Their music pays homage to all three locales with a foundation in Cumbia, sprinkled with healthy doses of Afrobeat and marinated in the school of funk. The eight piece act has received critical praise for their debut EP Suelta from Rolling Stone, NPR, Billboard, PRI The World, PopMatters, Afropop, and more. They are confirmed to play the Austin City Limits Music Festival (Weekend Two) BMI stage on Sunday, October 10th.

Two-time Grammy award-winning band, OZOMATLI, are releasing new music today, “Fellas,” featuring special guests J.J. Fad (“Supersonic”) and Lisa Lisa of Cult Jam fame (“I Wonder If I Take You Home”, Can You Feel The Beat”, “Head to Toe”), iconic hip hop pioneers and R&B queen of the 80’s pop music scene. Industrial Strength Bluegrass: Southwestern Ohio's Musical Legacy was named the International Bluegrass Music Association's Album of the Year during a ceremony last night in Raleigh, NC. Joe Mullins who produced the album released on Smithsonian Folkways earlier this year, accepted the award and expressed heart-felt gratitude upon receiving the honor.

Last night, roots supergroup Appalachian Road Show was named the Instrumental Group of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2021 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards. The band was one of four 2x winning artists alongside Billy Strings, Sierra Hull and Dale Ann Bradley.
