Last week the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey played a total of four shows at Denver restaurant/lounge Dazzle. The quartet from Tulsa, OK did an early show and a late show on both Wednesday and Thursday, and I was in attendance at the early show on Thursday.

Ten years gone.  It’s amazing how time escapes us year after year and before we know it we are ten years older, hopefully ten years wiser, and still looking forward to that familiar music festival in the middle of Manchester, Tennessee.

On June 10th, Truth and Salvage Co. played their “first headliner show at the Fox Theatre” in Boulder.  Truth and Salvage Co. co-mingles Bluegrass, Anti-Nashville Country, with 70’s era rock, exceeding expectations and leaving you wanting to hear more.

Though Phish has released a large, strong collection of concert DVDs over the years, the bulk of them were filmed during their peak years of the 1990s where the norm was the old format of standard definition.  Muddied colors, blurry camera movements, and sub-par audio couldn't quite do the show the justice it deserved.  Not any more.

Bootsy Collins and the rest of the P-Funk crew have not lost a step in the all the years they have been funkin’ it up around the world.
