Recently, we had the opportunity to chat with our good friend Mike Smith from The Mike Smith Group. This jam rock power trio from Northern New Jersey recently released an EP and is in the process of recording an LP. The band also has a few winter dates on the calendar in New Jersey and Connecticut.

Jamie: Thanks for making some time to chat with me. Let's start with how you got into being a musician?

BMG today releases the stunning live video performance of “Buana Buana King Kong’ from flamenco guitarist Paco De Lucía. The rare video is taken from Paco De Lucía’s performance at the 1984 Montreux Jazz Festival and appears on the upcoming release “Paco De Lucía: The Montreux Years”- out 24 February and available to pre-order now.

On Sunday February 5th the Recording academy hosted the 65th annual GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles, California. Defying expectations and sparking a level of national pride by his fellow Jamaicans, Kabaka Pyramid won Best Reggae Album for ‘The Kalling’.

After three years of waiting, Marcus Gad & Tribe finally deliver their new creation, Ready For Battle. It’s the fourth studio album by the New Caledonian artist working together with his band Tribe, which began backing Gad in 2017 for the album Chanting.
