It’s not many artists that can say that they’ve written songs in Antarctica, but for Joey Capoccia of Olympia, Washington Americana band The Pine Hearts, the South Pole was just another place to stop and look for inspiration. Working as a carpenter for the National Science Foundation, Capoccia holed up in the South Pole Station’s greenhouse to write the song “Wouldn’t You Know” on The Pine Hearts’ new album, Lost Love Songs, released today.

In celebration of Black History Month, singer/songwriter Danielia Cotton honors the music of the late Charley Pride with her cover of his 1981 classic “Roll on Mississippi.” As one of only three African-American members of the Grand Ole Opry, Charley Pride was a trailblazer for Black country artists. 49 Winchester will release Fortune Favors The Bold on May 13th, 2022 via New West Records. The 10-track set was co-produced by the band and Stewart Myers (O.A.R., The Infamous Stringdusters) with additional recording & production by Kenny Miles (Wayne Graham).
