On May 22, Tedeschi Trucks Band will release Everybody's Talkin', their sophomore album in their second full year as a band. The uplifting, energy-packed double-disc set by the 11-piece ensemble led by husband-wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi that recently marked their first anniversary with a Grammy win for their debut album Revelator.
Seeking refuge from a brisk and windy San Francisco evening, hirsute hippies and mustachioed hipsters file into the Connecticut Yankee for a special performance by jam band collective Secret Chimp. Ironically enough, the Connecticut Yankee, which has undergone a plethora of name changes and facelifts since it first opened in 1907 as “Hilda’s Saloon,” is in fact a loyal municipality of Red Sox Nation. Go figure!
Furthur has announced a 3 night run in late September at Red Rocks Amphitheater, in Morrison, Colorado. Friday night, September 21st, will kick off Furthur's fall tour. Furthur will then head out to the great Northwest for a show in Seattle on September 25th, before heading south for another 3 night run in Troutdale, Oregon, beginning Thursday, September 27th.

Country music singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley has been added to the list of artists taking part in the fifth annual Record Store Day on April 21 with a special acoustic performance at independent record store Easy Street Records’ Queen Anne location in downtown Seattle, WA at 1:00P PT. “Record Store Day is such a great event that has hardly had any attention in country music,” said Bentley. “Some of the coolest exclusive product comes out on this day at indy retailers, and I wanted country fans to be able to get in on the action.

The Leftover Salmon bus pulled out of Boulder yesterday evening and headed to Kansas. Vince reported this morning from the road with this:“Well, the bus is cold this morning. Haven't figured out the heater yet. It's raining in Kansas. There was a tornado in Denver last night. I'm reading a book on contemplation by Thomas Merton and Drew is reading Bluebeard, Kurt Vonnegut's last book. Just saw a hill! We are fired up to be doing our first long tour in 8 years. This is gonna be fun.
Ukulele players from around the world will be coming to Hawaii to participate in an ukulele ensemble led by Jake Shimabukuro. Go For Da Record...Hana Hou! will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, HI. They will assemble the greatest possible number of ukulele players in a 2nd attempt to break a Guinness World Record.
American Gospel, the solo project of The Republic of Wolves' guitarist/singer Gregg DellaRocca, will be releasing their debut album, Tall Tales Vol. 1, on May 15th.
