Jungle Jam organizers today announced that the 2017 festival will be moving to new festival grounds right along the beach in downtown Jaco, Costa Rica. The festival which is headlined by Slightly Stoopid, the Reggae Rock group from Ocean Beach/San Diego and Thievery Corporation returns to the resort city March 9-12, 2017.

LOCKN' Festival has announced the next stage of competition in its annual "ROCKN' TO LOCKN'" contest, presented in partnership with Starr Hill and Virginia Tourism Corporation. Twenty Virginia-based acts have been selected to take part in an epic battle of the bands, with three finalists selected to perform at LOCKN' Festival 2017, taking place August 24-27, 2017 on the beautiful Oak Ridge and Infinity Downs Farms in Arrington, Virginia.

Frank Vignola’s stunning virtuosity has made him the guitarist of choice for many of the world’s top musicians, including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Boston Pops, New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul, who named Vignola to his “Five Most Admired Guitarists List.” At 28, Vinny Raniolo has already proved to be among the elite having performed and recorded with Bucky Pizzareli, Tommy Emmanuel and David Grisman. Today, Electric Forest (EF) announced over 95 additional artists to its lineup for the seventh annual music and camping festival in Rothbury, Michigan. For the first time ever, the beloved forest festival will expand to two distinct weekends in 2017, from June 22–June 25 and June 29–July 2, 2017.

I first encountered the band at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2015, where I stumbled across the latter portion of their set, the sound of the dueling fiddle and banjo drawing me in from across the sun-soaked fields of Golden Gate Park.
