Today, SnowGlobe Music Festival released its highly anticipated artist lineup for the festival’s 7th annual New Year’s Eve celebration in South Lake Tahoe, California on December 29-31, 2017. The premiere 3-night outdoor festival returns to its home in the sublime Sierra Nevada Mountains hosting over 50 artists performing on 3 stages, culminating with a breathtaking fireworks display to ring in 2018 with style.

This week we are highlighting the accomplishments of young musicians from around the world. Tyler Simmons is a 17-year-old student from Toronto, Canada who attends a school for the performing arts. He is a very gifted singer, guitarist, and songwriter who uses his talents to help others.

On September 15th The Lil Smokies graced the world with their sophomore studio album, "Changing Shades."  For anyone unfamiliar with the Lil Smokies, they are certainly a band on the move. Winners or the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition, they have catapulted themselves into the spotlight amongst some of the bluegrass greats. Hailing from Missoula, MT, the Lil Smokies played over 175 shows in 2016 alone.

Whither Grace Potter? After more than a decade of constant touring, the Vermont-based rock n’ roller has been all but absent from the stage for the last year. She returned this weekend to host Grand Point North, the annual mini-festival on the waterfront in Burlington, VT, that was started in 2011 when her calling card read Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

HONK NYC, the raucous annual international street band extravaganza, celebrates 2017 with a fresh batch of riotous rhythms and jubilant jams. More than 150 musicians from over a dozen ensembles will perform in downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, Harlem, Queens, Staten Island, and Jersey City from October 10 to October 15, presenting a cavalcade of free and extremely low-priced performances in parks, gardens, museums, galleries, schools, public spaces and venues - all filling the streets of the city with sound.

World-renowned guitar virtuoso, Joe Satriani, announces the release of his 16th solo album, What Happens Next, set for release, January 12, 2018 on Sony/Legacy Recordings.  Just a day prior to the album release, SATRIANI revives his G3 tour entity, inviting Dream Theater’s John Petrucci and Def Leppard lead guitarist, Phil Collen to join him.  The G3 tour launches on January 11 in Seattle, WA and continues across the U.S.

A few thousand music-loving adventure-seekers on September 9 received quite the idyllic sun-splashed reward when they witnessed this year’s Sound Summit, headlined by Phil Lesh and some extra special “friends.” The eight-hour festival-like show, chock full of five performers plus an avant-garde dance ensemble, took place at a perch high above Marin County, California’s Mill Valley, at a hundred-year-old stone amphitheater near the top of the area’s famed Mt. Tamalpais.
