Grateful Web recently got the chance to sit down with jazz guitar player Wayne Krantz. We talked about his upcoming summer tour, the sound of his new album, Howie 61, and the relationship between composition and improvisation.

GW: So I know you're getting ready for a summer tour in Europe. What are you and your band doing to prepare?

Year number three of The Hangout Festival was bigger and better than before.  It seems promoters really listened to feedback from 2011 and were able to cut down on the insane entrance lines by mailing out the wristbands two weeks before the show, and increasing the availability of transportation in shuttles and “Catch a Chevy” to help get people safely around Gulf Shores.
