The Office of Surface Mining has proposed changes to its stream buffer zone rule that would make it easier for mining companies to bury natural streams and valleys under piles of mining waste and vast ponds of toxin-laden sludge. The changes would weaken environmental standards for mountaintop removal mining operations that, even under the stricter existing buffer rule, have buried hundreds of miles of streams and contaminated mountain waterways.

I have to admit, I like to take an angle when I write. Often times, I will have a phrase or concept thought out, which may be developed into an introduction, even before I go to see a band. How can that be, you may be asking. Well, most of the bands I review I have seen before and I can figure out what to expect. But, last Sunday night's show left me dumbfounded.

At long last after 2 years of editing and mixing 2b1 Multimedia Inc. is proud to announce the release of the "Chet Helms Tribal Stomp". The package consists of four DVD's and two CD's from the October 2005 concert in Golden Gate Park. Many have called it "the event of the century". The collection centers on the life of "Chet Helms" his influence on the 60's and the "Family Dog."
