I am more than grateful for 1,000-plus times I’ve been able to report from the edge of the stage, via images and words, for countless publications. And I’m especially appreciative of the friendships formed and kept within the music scene over the years. I’ve been privileged to be an official or de facto staff photographer for countless music festivals, including 19 years for the California WorldFest (at the Nevada County Fairgrounds), for WXPN-FM/World Café in Philadelphia (1993-1998), Sierra Nevada Big Room in Chico, Calif. (2009-2014), and KZFR-FM in Chico, Calif. (2010-2014); house photographer for many bands and benefits; arts photographer for two newspapers; and have had published works featured in dozens of newspapers, magazines, and books – in print and via online publications. My camera-in-hand at concerts actually began almost 50 years ago, with my dad’s Minolta SR-T 101 and my first, a Rollei 35 S travel camera.
