As is tradition, FloydFest makes deeply discounted tickets (up to 40% off regular gate price) available to their patrons during the month of December. As most returning patrons know, the Holiday season is the best time to purchase festival admission tickets and secure the coveted on-site parking spots. Promoters report ticket sales are up an impressive 65% over last year. The On-site RV parking spots sold out in a record 72 hours since on-sale date. All is not lost for folks wishing to camp in style, as the off-site RV spots, as well as VIP and Souvenir are still available.

The Gathering of the Vibes music and camping festival will return to Bridgeport’s 370-acre Seaside Park in 2010 to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary. The four-day event is slated to run July 29 through August 1. This marks the sixth time the festival will be held at Seaside Park – and the fourth consecutive year here – making Seaside Park the venue hosting more Vibes than any other location. “Seaside Park really is home for us,” Hays said. “The park is magnificent, and the city has always welcomed us here.

Toyota’s Free Yr Radio will be making its mark on CMJ this year as it partners with KEXP for a DFA Records showcase on Thursday, October 22nd at The Brooklyn Bowl. The Water Bowl is one of Indiana’s hidden gems, it is a 200 acre music venue conveniently located just outside of Muncie Indiana. It is far enough outside of the city that it is quaint yet close enough for festival-goers to make trips to town for their daily necessities. The Water Bowl gets its name from the two ponds located inside the venue.
Anybody hoping for last year’s incredible lineup that featured Tom Petty and Steve Winwood playing on the same day and also sharing the stage for a few tunes was bound to be disappointed with this year’s lineup. Day 1 of the Outside Lands seemed a little small for a festival, but that may have been because there were so many stages with up to five bands performing at once, sometimes in different areas of Golden Gate Park. Then again when Pearl Jam began its final set of the night.
The 3rd Annual Bear Creek Music and Art Festival returns to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida Nov. 13-15 for three days of music, art, camping and community as fans from all over the nation gather along the banks of the famous Suwannee River for the fall’s final musical celebration.

For the past two years the Treasure Island Music Festival has been determined to minimize its effect on the planet, diverting 72% of its waste to recycling and composting, and this year they are looking to reduce their waste even further. This year's reductions begin on the trip to Treasure Island thanks to partnerships with Bauer's and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
