Borderland Festival 2024 wrapped up its most successful year yet, drawing thousands to Knox Farm State Park in East Aurora, NY, for a vibrant three-day celebration of music, art, and sustainability. The sixth annual event, held just outside downtown Buffalo, featured a stellar lineup of headliners, including The Black Crowes, Caamp, and Marcus King, with notable performances by Dark Star Orchestra, Cory Wong, The Wood Brothers, Houndmouth, and more.

The 8th Annual Suwannee Roots Revival takes place Thursday, October 10 - Sunday, October 13 at the renowned Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida, and continues to foster the longtime tradition of hosting some of the most prominent names in American roots music and beyond. Every Labor Day weekend since 2011, the beautiful grounds of Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see near Manteno, IL have played host to Shoe Fest. I find myself camped this year with two of my favorite fire spinners and band members from Broken Robots. Yes, everybody can get close at Shoe Fest and you never know whom you might meet. This is an eclectic music festival with something for everyone, and some things unexpected.

The Lake George Arts Project celebrates the 40th anniversary of Jazz at the Lake, a free, three-day festival (September 13-15) featuring renowned and rising jazz stars. This year's stellar lineup includes rising star Jahari Stampley, trumpet virtuoso Michael Mayo, GRAMMY-winning artists Ulysses Owens, Linda May Han Oh, Nicole Zuraitis, Danilo Perez, and many more.
