Reid Genauer

Reid Genauer, the prolific singer-songwriter and frontman of Assembly of Dust and Strangefolk, announces the forthcoming release of not one, but two albums titled "Angels and Alibis" and "The Promised Hour." These albums epitomize Genauer's signature storytelling prowess and mark a momentous occasion in the arc of Reid’s prolific musical career with Assembly of Dust.

Music-fan tribes of all stripes gathered for the Independence Day weekend to luxuriate in the 29th annual High Sierra Music Festival in tiny Quincy, California, basking in the music, vibes, joy, and friendships old and new. Over the four-day celebration, among the beautiful clear-aired mountainous sky and mountains, fun oozed everywhere, from the scheduled and numerous unscheduled live performances and collaborations to the often luxurious and nicely appointed home bases set up in the campgrounds.

Today Reid Genauer lead singer-songwriter of Strangefolk and Assembly of Dust announces release of a new album,  Reid Genauer & Folks “Conspire to Smile" on digital music retail, CD and Smule, social singing app. Spearheaded by Genauer “Conspire to Smile” features more than two dozen critically acclaimed musicians all of whom donated their time and talent towards a communal illustration of power of collaboration and in support a simple call to action for music fans -  #ConspireToSmile.

A collective of two dozen musicians from the Jamband universe today announced a joint New Year’s Resolution to “Conspire to Smile” in 2018.

The project includes a studio album, social media thought experiment and Kickstarter campaign under the moniker “Conspire to Smile” with the intent of kickstarting compassion, smiles and communal strength through song.
