The Box of Rain band took the stage Saturday night at the Sherman Theater for an evening celebrating the Grateful Dead catalogue and musical stylings circa ‘68-’74. Led by Bob Stirner (Living Earth, Boris Garcia) on lead guitar and vocals, the six-piece, and sometimes seven-piece when “Pig Pen” (aka John Bernstein) would join the stage,… Continue reading Box of Rain | The Sherman Theater | 3/18/23
Nestled between Boulder and Fort Collins lies the sleepy little town of Lyons, Colorado. Populated with little more than two thousand citizens, this historic settlement has deep roots in the narrative of the Centennial State. Like much of the west, this area was first populated by multiple Native American tribes including the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and… Continue reading Tyree Woods | Mainstage Brewing | 3/16/23
Six sets of music in, the jams and song selection by Goose remained impressive. Every component of their five night run was magically falling into place. This included another sold out night of music at the Capitol Theatre on March 11, 2023. Show number four began with less fanfare than the prior night, which boasted… Continue reading Goose | Capitol Theatre | 3/11/2023
The half way mark is a significant moment, especially during a five night run of contiguous shows by the same band. ALO kicked off its Tour D’Amour XVI with a dandy of a show in Grass Valley, California, on March 12. The band did perform a quickly assembled house concert on the 11th as their scheduled tour openers on the 10th and 11th at a north shore Lake Tahoe venue were scrapped due to excessive winter… Continue reading ALO | The Center For the Arts | 3/12/23
A five night stand in the music world is a rarity. Five contiguous nights is almost unheard of in this day and age of short attention spans. This did not phase Goose, the self described indie jam rock band, from attempting this infrequent feat at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, which is within… Continue reading Goose | Capitol Theatre | 3/8/2023
