Reflecting on the track, Pomeroy shares, “I wrote ‘Flannel Cowboy’ while on a trip across country with my stepmom Wendy. Started it in Oklahoma, wrote parts of it on the way to Montana, and finished it in Parma, ID. This song sounds like a love song but actually tells of the hardships that come when feelings are one sided.”

Rock legend Billy Idol’s first full-length album of new music in over a decade, Dream Into It, is out now on Dark Horse Records. Dream Into It includes performance and co-writing contributions from Idol’s longtime guitarist and collaborator Steve Stevens, plus appearances by Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett, and Alison Mosshart of The Kills.
