Tonight, Austin City Limits hosts a very special taping at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Antone’s – the legendary Austin nightclub that “helped put the live music capital of the world on the map” (Austin American Statesman).

MerleFest, presented by Window World, wrapped up its 37th annual celebration with a romp-roaring tribute to the music and community that folk icon Doc Watson championed throughout his life. Over the course of four vibrant days, nearly one hundred acts ranging from rising stars to seasoned legends graced a dozen stages across the campus of Wilkes Community College, drawing thousands to the rolling hills that canvas the region.

In celebration of International Jazz Day, the iconic Birdland Theater proudly presents Frank Vignola’s Guitar Night with an all-star lineup of jazz greats on Wednesday, April 30th at 8:30 PM (doors open at 7:30 PM). The evening will feature Frank Vignola alongside special guests Maria Muldaur and Pasquale Grasso, with Gary Mazzaroppi on bass and Rudy Peschauer on drums.

Camper Van Beethoven packed The Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on Saturday night to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Telephone Free Landslide Victory, their debut album. North Carolina duo Watchhouse (Andrew Marlin & Emily Frantz) have shared new single “Firelight,” the final advance offering from their forthcoming album Rituals (out May 30). A delicate and intimate reflection on the inevitable cycle of both change and consistency, “Firelight” finds Frantz stepping into the spotlight for vocals on this track, framed by bouzouki, harmonium and mandolin (Marlin) and graceful accents of pedal steel (Matt Smith). 

Kansas City-bred, New Orleans-based musician Samantha Fish – “a genuine force of sonic prowess” (Rolling Stone) and one of the most electrifying guitarists of her generation – has unleashed her new solo album Paper Doll, out now on Rounder Records.
