Once again, the SolShine concert presented by the Chamber and hosted by Rendezvous Event Center in Downtown Winter Park is now officially in the live music history books. This concert has incredibly special meaning for the residents and out-of-town guests that frequent Winter Park.
When we reflect on the magic of the live music experience, what comes to mind, or to the ear as it were, are the images of those grandiose and infamous stages, like Red Rocks or Madison Square Garden, filled with a sea of people, in awe of face-melting shred fests and transcendental sonic exercises. For Colorado, these dynamics have become the expectation, and for good reason.
To close out 2022, The String Cheese Incident decided to play it close to home and ring in the new year at Denver’s musical gem, the intimate Mission Ballroom. Topping out at 4,000 heads, getting to see SCI in such a small venue for three consecutive nights and so close to their own front doors meant that the band and extended community were in for a sold-out homecoming of sorts filled with familiar faces from both sides of the stage.
Providing an anchor of stability and a backbone behind the rhythm, bassist Keith Moseley of The String Cheese Incident is no stranger to the blending eclectic sounds and unifying them within the musical soundscape. Pioneering one of Colorado’s most influential jam bands, Keith has been the steady driving force behind the successful 25+ year career of SCI.
Vail-based nonprofit organization, Mr. Anonymous Philanthropic Society (“MAPS”) has announced the launch of their record label. The Go MAPS Music label is proudly kicking off a steady stream of releases with the digital single “Name Song” by Kory Montgomery. The lead single off a new series of Montgomery’s work will be released on Friday, May 20, accompanied by a performance on Fox 21’s Loving Local broadcasting live from Colorado Springs, Colorado at 9:00 am MST.

The String Cheese Incident are indeed coming to the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago for New Year's 2021. Thursday, December 30th will begin the 3 night run on 12/30, 12/31, and 1/1 2022. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of show time will be required for admission but as of this posting, the show must go on!
