Sweetwater Music Hall, the storied Mill Valley nonprofit venue that has been a home to the counterculture and beyond since 1972, keeps the fall calendar packed with music for Deadheads, hippies, and fans of every genre. Jam fans will zero in on Pink Talking Fish, the beloved fusion of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish, performing November 1 and 2.

Sixth-generation San Franciscan Essence Goldman, now performing as Essence & Gold Country, will celebrate the release of her new album, Father’s Daughter, with a special record release show at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Joining Essence & Gold Country for a roots-rich evening of Americana and country are Andres Cervantes, Jenny Kerr Band, The Dogweeds, Jacob Aranda, and Barry Sless.

As New Orleans and the Gulf Coast remember Hurricane Katrina twenty years later, part of the focus has been on the positivity and support that eventually followed the devastating storm. And for a city so culturally important to American music, the post-Katrina work of Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews’s Trombone Shorty Foundation has become a bastion of keeping future generations involved in, and inspired by, traditional New Orleans music.

New Wave/Prog-Pop troubadours Pardon The Interruption are thrilled to return to the stage at the iconic Sweetwater Music Hall on Thursday, June 5. Opening the night will be roots, reggae, ska, and soul-driven Jethro Jeremiah Band.
