This July 15th & July 16th (716 Day), there’s only one place to be: Cobblestone Live Music & Arts Festival in the Historic Cobblestone District of Downtown Buffalo. Pulling into Summer Camp for my first time I couldn’t help but feel a bit apprehensive. Everything I’ve read or seen on the web says “It’s an amazing fest… as long as it doesn’t rain“ Yet, here I was, pulling up to the gate on Friday morning after 3 solid days of precipitation. Stepping out of my jeep into the parking lot I immediately sunk into the mud up to my ankles and thought to myself “Welp, I guess it’s time to get dirty!”
Andy Frasco generates incredible energy at his live shows and that same off-the-chart energy explodes in his songwriting with his new album, Wash, Rinse, Repeat. If Carol King was a songwriter that conveyed a conversational women’s confession songwriting style, then Andy Frasco has that same kind of conversational confession songwriting for those of us that suffer from mental health issues. Wash, Rinse, Repeat is a testament to his variety of influences and his Keith Richards-like ability to sustain that boundless energy.
With the Atlanta Festival season going full throttle, Rival Entertainment is pleased to present Candler Park Music Festival as the first festival for the unofficial start of Summer. The two-day event reclaimed its traditional dates and will welcome fans back to Candler Park for music, food, and art on June 03 and 04, 2022.
Cabin fever is revived and revved up to an 11. This summer is finally showing itself, both societally and weather permitting. Let’s kick it off on Memorial Day weekend and see some music! My app is downloaded, I’ve scribbled down which sets I want to go to, and now comparing notes with friends, I still can’t decide which is my best option. It’s all posted online because it is time for Summer Camp 2022! It’s Sunshine, Moonshine, Soulshine, and Starshine stages to rage your face off.
As music fans are still coping with a drawn out ending to the pandemic, and when everyone’s seasonal depression has convinced them there is no hope left in the world, a ray of bright warm light is emerging on the horizon in the form of Andy Frasco & The U.N.’s latest LP, Wash, Rinse, Repeat. The album was released on Friday, April 8.

To trace the lineage of numerous popular American genres, one only has to turn to the musical history of Chicago and absorb the city’s legacy as a cultural hub of jazz, blues, and rock n’ roll. Now, in honor of The Windy City’s rich background for diverse artistic innovation comes a first-of-its-kind music festival: SACRED ROSE.
