Locust just announced their full-length release on European electronic label Editions Mego this April 16th, entitled You'll Be Safe Forever.  The two Locust band mates Mark Van Hoen and Louis Sherman have accomplished the melding of 50 years of electronic musical history in a beautifully crafted album, with sounds evoking memories of early electronic icons like Delia Derbyshire, through to Tangerine Dream, Eno, Throbbing Gristle, LFO  and beyond.

We are excited to announce Abigail Washburn will debut her first theatrical work, Post-American Girl, at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater March 28 – 30 as part of New York Voices, the venue’s popular commission series designed to help musicians make the leap from songwriting and performance to theatrical production. Washburn’s new stage piece is about an American girl coming-of-age in a swiftly changing global order.

Americana roots rockers, Assembly of Dust (the brain child of Reid Genauer – formerly of Stragefolk) just released their fourth full-length album last Tuesday (February 26th, 2013)

SexMob has announced the release of Cinema, Circus & Spaghetti (Sexmob Plays Fellini: The Music of Nino Rota), due March 19 from The Royal Potato Family. The recording is their first new studio album since the Grammy Award-nominated Sexotica seven years ago. A venerable New York City music institution, Sexmob turned 17 this year.

Something about San Francisco feels like a home-away-from-home for the Brooklyn-based Pimps of Joytime, whose infectious, funk-ridden grooves celebrate the simple joy of an all out dance party. The genre-bending ensemble was all smiles when asked about their upcoming back-to-back shows March 22 and 23 at the Independent. "There's something so liberating about the music culture there -- from the jump people are ready to get down," said Pimps of Joytime bandleader Brian J. "The Bay area has been a big supporter of what we do since almost the beginning.

Music artist and one man band Zach Deputy will entertain and hold his first very own disc jam and golf tournament March 8-10 at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla. Plans are to hold the event annually. While Zack Deputy will entertain at least once each day during the three-day event, other artists include The Legendary JC’s, funkUs, Greensound, Herd of Watts, My Morning Fatty and Love Chunk.Zach Deputy is a unique one-man band who had played the SOSMP many times during Bear Creek Music & Art Festival and other festivals.

But with this latest LP Isle Of Magic, Mop Mop digs even deeper to bring us one of their most engaging and organic records yet.
