Buddy Guy

“You’re damn right I got the blues,” Buddy Guy sang out as he opened his headlining set at the annual Russian River Jazz and Blues Festival in fiery northern California on Sept. 13. The four-day festival, August 9-12, brought together musical artists, staff and an estimated 20,000 attendees from all across the nation to celebrate music, camping and camaraderie, and all agreed that the Vibes return to Bridgeport, CT, was triumphant.

The Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel near Morton, Minnesota, tried a new experiment this past fall. Though their gianormous outdoor Amphitheater offers racing and big name country entertainment, they have never brought in high caliber blues acts.

Gathering of the Vibes is pleased to announce its return to historic Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut, August 9 through 12, 2007, with four days of live music, arts, and camping.  After a six-year out-of-state residency, the 12th annual GOTV returns to the extensively renovated site of its legendary 1999 and 2000 events.  Seaside Park boasts 370 acres of spectacular tree-lined parkland and over a mile of pristine beachfront overlooking Long Island Sound.
