Today Petaluma Records released the official video for “Stompin' Ground” featuring Aaron Neville and Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The new recording is the second single unveiled from the upcoming soundtrack release Take Me To The River: New Orleans. The music video for “Stompin' Ground” features footage taken from the forthcoming feature documentary film Take Me To The River: New Orleans, which celebrates the undeniable musical history, heritage, legacy, culture, and influence of New Orleans and Louisiana.

Today, legendary New Orleans venue Tipitina's revealed the final billing of their Jazz Fest After Dark calendar, announcing headliner Eddie Roberts' West Coast Sounds performing Thursday, May 2 with special guests including Charles Neville and more to be announced.

On Friday, April 24th the Backbeat Jazzfest Series will kick off its fourth consecutive season with a high-spirited performance by the legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band featuring Booker T. Quoted by the Rolling Stone for radically modernizing brass-band music, the members of Dirty Dozen Brass Band were the first to incorporate funk and bebop to traditional New Orleans sounds putting distinctly personal stamps on traditional and familiar material.
