Like jet fuel to kickstart the weekend in downtown San Francisco’s historic Warfield Theatre hall, Oklahoma Psychedelic sensation The Flaming Lips played a long-awaited show that seemed to echo through the generations. The much-anticipated show was finally able to commence, having been postponed from their original dates back in May after several members of the band had tested positive for Covid-19.
Borderland Festival is returning to Knox Farm State Park, September 17 and 18, bringing an experience rooted in community and bursting with musical flair to the region.
In classic Borderland style, the two-day festival will host more than 20 bands on three stages. A diverse mix of national and regional, rock, country and Americana artists will perform at the historic and picturesque Knox Farm.
Headlining the 2022 festival is American psychedelic rock band, The Flaming Lips and alt-rock band, Portugal. The Man.
The Caverns and The Flaming Lips announce the venerable, pysch-rock band will return to the world-famous, underground concert hall for two nights of shows to ring in the new year on December 30th and 31st presented by Lightning 100.
The Flaming Lips first played The Caverns during the subterranean venue’s inaugural year on New Year’s Eve 2018. Guests who attended the sold out show and those who heard about the exuberant spectacle have long anticipated the band’s return to the cave—the wait is over!

Tibet House US is excited to announce that The Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Jesse Paris Smith, Marc Anthony Thompson of Chocolate Genius, Inc. with Tessa Thompson and Saori Tsukada will join the eclectic line-up for the 34th Annual Tibet House US Virtual Benefit Concert. This year’s special virtual edition of one of the longest-running and most renowned live cultural events in New York City will combine live and pre-recorded segments streaming via Mandolin, the premiere concert livestream platform for artists, venues, and fans.
THE POP ENTHUSIASM OF MISTERWIVES
New York City based MisterWives played an early evening show on Sunday at the Beale Street Music Festival, a day that was a complete sellout. Lead vocalist Mandy Lee clearly enjoyed playing to the young and enthusiastic crowd, jumping around as she sang . The band performed most of their best known songs, including "Machine," "Drummer Boy," "Coloring Outside the Lines," and "Reflections."
The potentially rainy day at the nation’s most beautiful outdoor venue made the perfect backdrop to what was about to transpire. The Flaming Lips, with their elaborate stage set up for over one hundred performers, were going to play their entire album entitled The Soft Bulletin with the Colorado Symphony led by conductor Andre de Ritter.
Riot Fest exploded with a bang, and the fast action, hard hitting, rock festival tore it up in the Mile High City. On the grounds of Sports Authority Stadium at Mile High, home of the Denver Broncos, the festival kicked off its first night with its best lineup of the weekend. Taking public transportation was the way to go because there were a lot of people to add to the regular Friday traffic in the city.
