Flash Mountain Flood
Colorado-based progressive rock sextet Eminence Ensemble will head south to the country’s oldest and highest capital city in Santa Fe, NM for the inaugural Camp Stoney Days. Presented and partnered with local Colorado rockers Flash Mountain Flood, the two-day, two-night experience will take place among the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on July 29th-30th for an intimate weekend of live performances by Southwest-based soulful jam bands.
Derek Dames Ohl, bass player and vocalist from Flash Mountain Flood and a well-known solo artist has delivered a special tune for the holiday season, accompanied by a music video full of nostalgia. “Blue Skies It’s Christmas Time” is a soft, sincere song that truly pulls at the heartstrings while giving a beautiful nod to Ohl’s home state of Colorado.
Larry Keel is described by music critics and reviewers as the most powerful, innovative and all-out exhilarating acoustic flatpicking guitarist performing today. Keel has absorbed the best lessons from his Bluegrass family upbringing, both sides deeply steeped in the rich mountain music culture and heritage of Southwest Virginia. From there, he has always integrated that solid musical grounding and natural-born talent with his own incomparable approach to playing amplified, acoustic guitar and composing original music.

Cycles epitomize the power-trio format with ripping guitar, fat bass grooves played out through furious slapping, and dynamic drum beats flowing over intricate tempo changes. Each member wields a unique take on their instrument that when played together, forms a truly fresh and cohesive sound. Patrick Harvey commands the guitar with speed and precision reminiscent of Jimmy Herring while using his loop pedal virtually as its own instrument, a skill unique only to him.
