New Orleans-based band Galactic will headline the 11th annual Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival, organizers announced today.

The Old Settler’s Music Festival has announced their 2019 daily lineup, taking place April 11-14 in Tilmon, TX.  Four-time Grammy Award winner and festival alumnus Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform an acoustic set on Friday, April 12, and six-time 2019 Grammy nominee Brandi Carlile will perform on Saturday, April 13.  Full lineups by day are below, and day tickets are on sale now at the festival’s site, 

The “Day of the Dead” Celebration believes that on every 2nd of November, the gateway between Mictlan, the ancient Aztec Land of the Dead, and our world opens so we may celebrate with our lost loved ones for one special time of year.  Now the Ninth Annual Florida “Day of the Dead” introduces “Night of the Dead” which takes the celebration to a whole new level the following day and creates an exciting atmosphere of music and dance. 

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe have added eight additional dates in Spring 2018. The hard-touring funk juggernaut will play four more “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” shows—their highly regarded celebration of The Allman Brothers Band—throughout the Southeast in mid-April.

Over the past 20 years, New Orleans-based funk phenomenon Galactic have established themselves as one of the absolute premier funk bands in the country. From their relentless touring both nationally and internationally, to their upcoming headlining show at Red Rocks and so much more, Galactic has blossomed into a full-force spectacle that has to be seen to believe.

Few genres of music have stood the test of time unblemished such as funk. Though there have been progressions, evolution, and certainly fusion, the fundamentals are all in order. Grandfathers George Clinton, James Brown, and The Meters created a percussively punchy style of playing that was a liberating new form of music distinct in character and approach. The 2^nd annual ARISE Music Festival was full of magic, wonder, music, acrobats, dancers, poets, and artists of all kinds just as it was last year during its debut. After reviewing the pre-party in Boulder and attending the open house on site, I knew that the creators and help of this amazing festival would come together once again to produce a loving, creative, and musical environment, which would provide endless delight for everyone involved.
