Saturday at Bonnaroo was another dusty, scorching day as the massive heat wave over the region continued unabated. Yet, the relentless heat couldn't deter a sold-out crowd from flooding the Centeroo in the early afternoon. Big-name rock acts like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Cage The Elephant drew the largest audiences, while the Emo Superjam offered the day's most captivating set. Thousands packed into the This Tent stage, joining a nonstop sing-along frenzy of Emo hits.

The Newport Jazz Festival just announced that tickets will go on sale and the lineup will drop for the 2024 festival (August 2-4) on April 9th at 1PM Eastern, which has this East Coast mama reminiscing of all my favorite moments from last year! After having finally experienced the longest-running jazz festival in the country last year, it quickly made its way to the top of my ever-expanding list of favorite summer fests.

Newport Folk Festival made a triumphant return to the fort this year, laden with curiosity and high anticipation. The buzz from last year's surprise performances by Paul Simon and Joni Jam carried over, setting the stage for another captivating experience. Adding further intrigue was this year's inclusion of Lana Del Rey, which pushed ticket prices on the controversial secondary market to unprecedented heights, primarily driven by her fan base.

Jon Batiste and Cory Wong announced today’s release of Meditations. The collaboration is the result of three nights of raw improvisation in the studio and features performances from Nate Smith and Sam Yahel. Meditation relies on instinct alone. It is a cathartic, spontaneous record derived from the immediate musical and spiritual bond between Wong and Batiste with the intent to heal through music.
