J.S. Ondara

With just a few weeks until the gates open at the Newport Folk Festival, I find myself thinking about little else, at least musically. I go to a number of festivals and see a lot of shows, but it’s rare that a musical event can rob my attention well before it happens. It’s difficult to describe the festival to those who haven’t been; like anything magical, you really need to experience it for yourself to fully understand why it sells out instantly, without the fanfare of announcements and advertisements. In fact, the last ticket is sold long before the first artist is announced.

J.S. Ondara is releasing “Torch Song (Echo Park)” today — this version of the track features Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes, as well as Mike Viola, Sebastian Steinberg, Joey Ryan of The Milk Carton Kids and Eric Lea. Listen/share HERE.

Higher Ground Presents and Grace Potter announced today the lineup for the 2019 Grand Point North music festival, scheduled for September 14 and 15 at Burlington, Vermont’s Waterfront Park. Joining Potter this year are Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Lucius, J.S. Ondara, Lucy Dacus, Michael Nau, and Bailen. Other artists are expected to be added to the lineup. Two day passes are currently on-sale.

Today, rising singer-songwriter, J.S. Ondara released a brand-new Amazon Original cover of Neil Young’s iconic track, “Heart of Gold,” available only on Amazon Music.

Breakout singer-songwriter J.S. Ondara will support Neil Young on select west coast shows this month. Ondara will also continue touring throughout the summer and fall in support of his debut LP Tales of America. The dates follow his completely sold out debut headline run, and will also include special appearances at Xponential Festival and Newport Folk Festival.
