Innovative hybrid orchestra Nu Deco Ensemble are continuing their 6th season with an upcoming virtual live stream concert featuring a collaboration with Roots Rock N’ Roll sisters Larkin Poe. Live streaming from the North Beach Bandshell in Miami, FL on Saturday, December 12th, the evening will also include a world premiere arrangement and other original works by Pascal le Boeuf, commissioned in part by National YoungArts Foundation and a symphonic reimagination of the music of Led Zeppelin.
Today Robert Plant shares the first of three previously unreleased songs from his upcoming career-spanning new 2-CD set DIGGING DEEP. “Charlie Patton Highway (Turn It Up – Part 1),” taken from the soon-to-be-released album Band of Joy Volume 2, is available now at all digital service providers. The limited edition collection – also available for streaming and digital download – gathers 30 extraordinary songs spanning four decades, including three previously unreleased new tracks.
Performed on March 23rd, 2018 at Fort Collins’ Aggie Theatre, WhiteWater Ramble takes the classic rock band’s psychedelic tunes with a bluegrass instrumentation of dance, jam and improv influences. It was a spectacular early summer day in Southern California as day 2 of the Arroyo Seco Weekend unfolded on June 24th. Temperatures in the low 80’s and soft breezes created a perfect environment for the giant picnic attended by 25,000 concertgoers. Many music fans arrived early to lounge about the sprawling meadow encompassing the three musical stages.
His regional dialect has become global without being worldly. He is still very relatable and full of soul as he took the audience on a wild ride thru his musical journey of life. While the Sensational Space Shifters band backing him up continued with a smokey sweet guitar solo, he grabbed the tambourine, and it took on an instrumental balance to his vocals. It was no longer a child’s play toy of percussion but a jingling charm added to his one and only Robert Plant vocals; vocals that have come to define what it means to be the lead singer of a band.
