M. Ward

Monsters of Folk – the acclaimed band comprised of Jim James (My Morning Jacket), M. Ward, Conor Oberst, and Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes) – have released the reissue of their highly acclaimed self-titled debut via ATO Records. The expanded, 15th-anniversary edition of their one-and-only album is out today on clear vinyl and digital download. A number of multi-colored vinyl options are also available now exclusively via Barnes & Noble, Vinyl Me Please, and Rough Trade.

On a beautiful late summer evening, Thursday, September 12th, Nederlander concerts brought a historic classic rock double bill to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The term classic rock is often used loosely to label old rock bands but perfectly describes a night of music from Brian Wilson and his phenomenal band and The Zombies.

Terrapin Crossroads welcomes M. Ward with open arms to the Grate Room on October 29th. Our thoughts are with our friends at Gundlach Bundschu as they work tirelessly to open their winery doors to the public, after what has already been an emotional and exhausting couple of weeks fighting the fires back.

It was some lucky night. I got to see M. Ward perform at the Boulder Theatre. He has a new album out, A Wasteland Companion. It’s safe to say that Ward is devoted to his craft. Wasteland is Ward’s seventh studio LP since 1999. Some of Ward’s other work includes a successful side project, She & Him, with Zooey Deschanel on vocals.
