Maygen & The Birdwatcher are a Minnesota-based progressive folk-rock-country sextet blending Americana, bluegrass, folk, blues, and roots rock into a sound that is both heartfelt and adventurous. Led by the contrasting voices of Maygen Lacey and Noah Neumann, the band brings together rich harmonies, sharp songwriting, and a full-bodied acoustic/electric mix.
Their debut full-length album, Moonshine, earned Midwest Country Music Awards for Album of the Year and Americana Artist of the Year, while the follow-up EP Bootleggin’ At The Flower Shoppe continued their award-winning run. The band has shared festival stages with artists including Old Crow Medicine Show, Paul Cauthen, Grace Potter, and Travis Tritt.
Beyond the stage, Maygen & The Birdwatcher have helped build community through Amerigrass Fest in Minneapolis and their environmental collaboration “Where Good Things Grow” with the South Dakota Grasslands Coalition. Their music remains rooted in tradition while pushing toward a fresh, genre-blending Americana sound.
