Marcus Mumford joins Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to discuss his new song “Better Off High” from his forthcoming solo album ‘(self-titled)’ due out next month. He tells Apple Music about the origin of the project, working with Blake Mills during the pandemic, needed to reconnect with his songwriting muscles, and that it’s a record about freedom and healing.

Today, Marcus Mumford released “Grace,” the first single from his debut solo album, (self-titled). Vocalist Danielle Ponder, who will be supporting Mumford on tour this fall, and bassist Pino Paladino are among the musicians joining Mumford on the track, which he wrote with the album’s producer, Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes, Jim James). On September 16, Capitol Records will release Marcus Mumford’s debut solo album, (self-titled). Produced by Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes, Jim James), the album includes features from Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo and Monica Martin.  See below for track listing.
