Charitable fundraising platform Fandiem and live music discovery platform Bandsintown are proud to announce Giving 2022, a star-studded fundraising effort featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences and unique prizes provided by some of the biggest artists in the world in support of their chosen nonprofits. More than 30 artists have joined the effort to engage and inspire their fans to give back during this global generosity movement, as part of GivingTuesday (November 29, 2022).
Trey Anastasio announces the release of The Beacon Jams, an all-new collection compiling outstanding live performances from his eight-week virtual residency at New York City’s historic Beacon Theatre in fall of 2020. The Beacon Jams will be available digitally today, Friday, November 25, 2022; proceeds from the new compilation will benefit The Divided Sky Foundation, an initiative launched by Anastasio to finance a residential recovery program in Ludlow, VT, set to open in spring 2023.
According to Merriam-Webster, to collaborate is defined as “to work jointly with or together, especially in an intellectual manner” and for music fans, we love this word. Whether it is put to good use within the members of our favorite bands or through the avenue of the surprise sit in, everyone in the audience loves a good gelling and these instances are usually what make up the fabled stories of our musical adventure. When one considers the collaborative effort through the lens of improvisational music, the end result has a giant question mark looming over it.

The Mimi Fishman Foundation just launched a new online charity auction. This time around the auction features signed Phish posters from various Spring/Summer 2022 shows. All posters are numbered and signed by the band. In addition, the auction features ticket packages for Phish’s 2022 Madison Square Garden New Years run. Phish has announced their annual New Year’s Eve run at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, set for December 28, 29, 30, and 31. A ticket request period is now underway at tickets.phish.com and will continue through Monday, October 3 at 12 noon (ET). Entrants will be notified of their ticket status by Wednesday, October 5 at 11:59 pm (ET). Tickets officially go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, October 7 at 12 noon (ET).

For many, Labor Day weekend always means a three-day weekend for the hard working, but for the jamband community, it always means Phish is going to blow minds and melt faces just outside the Mile High City. Although this staple has been reenacted now eleven times since 2011, this year got a little something extra: a fourth night. This attribute is something phans have been rumoring, wishing, begging, and pleading for on message boards and in conversation for quite some time and 2022 was finally the year the dream came true.
