Robert Finley releases his anticipated fourth studio album Black Bayou, an 11-track tour de force that coalesces gospel, blues, soul, and rock into a raw, thundering tribute to Finley’s home state of Louisiana. Telling tales of the bayou from childhood to now, the 69-year old Finley takes listeners on a journey that showcases his growly vocals, sultry falsetto and cements him as a living legend.

Robert Finley announces his fourth studio album Black Bayou, set for release October 27 on Easy Eye Sound. Finley is joined again by frequent collaborator and producer Dan Auerbach for a thundering, swaggering record that tells Finley’s story of his life in the bayou of Louisiana. Today, Finley also released his first single “What Goes Around (Comes Around)” – a sweltering, swampy rock track that shows off Finley’s smooth-as-whiskey vocals.

Easy Eye Sound have shared the latest offering from their compilation Tell Everybody! (21st Century Juke Joint Blues) out August 11, a recently-announced collection which brings together wide-ranging voices from across the genre landscape compiled by label founder Dan Auerbach. Initially sharing the surging title track from Louisiana blues master Robert Finley, Easy Eye Sound (Billboard’s 2022 Blues Label of the Year) are now highlighting one of the genre’s top up-and-coming voices: Chicago-based Gabe Carter.

Today, Robert Finley, has announced additional upcoming fall tour dates that will include headline shows at venues across the US, including New York’s Mercury Lounge on October 18 and Philadelphia’s City Winery on October 19. For the 26th time in 28 years, Blues Traveler returned to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sunday for their annual Independence Day celebration. Although it was the Fourth of July, the band and crowd celebrated freedom on a number of levels outside of the national holiday, including freedom from COVID, from masks, from isolation.
