The second Thursday of Jazz Fest was hot and humid despite forecasts of possible rain. The Fair Grounds buzzed with even more visitors than the previous week, and by midafternoon, lines for food and drinks dotted the vast venue. The heat felt more intense under a cloudless sky that replaced last week’s breezy, pleasant weather. Still, the humidity remained manageable and never threatened to become the sweltering NOLA heat lurking on the horizon.

This summer, the iconic Latin‑rock sounds of Carlos Santana come alive when Santa Rios takes the stage at the Boulder Theater on Friday, August 8, 2025. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the show kicking off at 8:00 pm. Best of all, admission is FREE before 9 pm—so arrive early, grab a drink, and settle in for a night of electrifying grooves.

Singer-songwriter, actor and Latin GRAMMY® nominee Leslie Grace, GRAMMY Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Muni Long, musician and author Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles, as well as longtime Santana band member Andy Vargas have been added to the lineup for the Recording Academy® and GRAMMY Museum®’s 2025 GRAMMY Hall Of Fame® Gala taking place May 16 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Multi-Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Carlos Santana has announced that his passion-filled retrospective album, Sentient, will be released via Candid Records on March 28. The album is available for pre-order now.  The record’s heavenly, soulful first single – a “Sentient version” of Smokey Robinson’s “Please Don’t Take Your Love” – is out TODAY.

Today, the Recording Academy® revealed the 2025 inducted recordings to the distinguished GRAMMY Hall Of Fame®. This year’s additions include eight albums and five singles that exhibit qualitative or historical significance and are at least 25 years old. The inducted recordings will be honored at the GRAMMY Museum® and Recording Academy’s GRAMMY Hall Of Fame Gala on May 16, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.
