Over the past decade, The String Cheese Incident has emerged as one of America's most significant independent bands. Born in 1993 in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, SCI has since released 10 albums, 6 DVDs and countless live recordings from their relentless tour schedule. Their 24 year history is packed full of surreal experiences, epic moments, groundbreaking involvement and huge accomplishments.
After 20 years in Boulder, CO, and many years prior in Baltimore, MD, keyboardist of The String Cheese Incident, Kyle Hollingsworth, along with the Hollingsworth family, has relocated to the beaches of Mexico to allow for pursuit of new musical and brewing passions. SCI’s recent tour featuring throwback acoustic sets saw Hollingsworth return to his accordion, igniting his lifelong drive to perform live mariachi.
The String Cheese Incident will release Believe, their seventh studio album, on April 14 via SCI Fidelity Recordings. The album is the first to come out of the band's recently-opened Sound Lab Studio and was produced by Talking Heads keyboardist Jerry Harrison.
Believe is the latest album by Colorado disco-grass pioneers, The String Cheese Incident. The band’s tenth album overall, it is only their third in 12 years and with a release date of April 14, it arrives almost exactly three years removed from their previous album, 2014’s A Song In My Head.

The String Cheese Incident has revealed their full summer tour, highlighted by a three night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheater on July 21-23. In addition to previously announced festival appearances at Mountain Jam, Electric Forest, and LOCKN', SCI will return to the Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA on July 7 & 8. In August, the band will visit the Pacific Northwest for three unique festivals over consecutive weekends at Element Music Festival, Summer Meltdown and Oregon Eclipse.
The String Cheese Incident & SCI Fidelity Records are pleased to announce the release of Believe, the 7th studio album from SCI, due out April 14, 2017. The album is the first to come out of their just-opened Sound Lab Studio and the follow-up to 2014’s A Song in My Head, their first new album in close to a decade.
