Yonder Mountain String Band

This week, to an at-capacity crowd in Denver’s Meow Wolf Convergence Station, Colorado’s prodigal jam-grass sons-and-daughter Yonder Mountain String Band delivered song after song from their brand new album Get Yourself Outside—all with fervor and contagious energy rarely found in a band that’s been pleasing ears and moving feat for over two decades.

On February 25th, jamgrass pillars Yonder Mountain String Band will release their 9th studio album, titled Get Yourself Outside. This latest creation is eleven tracks of talent that reveal that after nearly a quarter century, this group still has what it takes to deliver on songwriting, composition, and studio proficiency.

The story contained within the notes of Yonder Mountain String Band’s new song “Suburban Girl” is one that will strike a chord with a vast majority of listeners, and yet, it’s a story that’s possibly never been told in such a beautiful, heartwrenching, and heartwarming way.

Today, the torch-bearing Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra announces the lineup for their ninth annual Dark Star Jubilee music festival. Produced by All Good Presents, the event was created as a band-curated continuation of the ongoing celebration of the music of the Grateful Dead, the Dark Star Jubilee has become a Midwest tradition for kicking off the summer season with three-nights of music, camping and community.

For the past two decades, Northwest String Summit has continually brought together fans of bluegrass and rock and roll—and every sub-genre and collaborative effort combinations of two—for a perfect summer weekend in the Pacific Northwest. Friendships and relationships formed during the annual festival at North Plains, Oregon’s beautiful Horning’s Hideout have grown and expanded year by year, all under the premise of sharing good music with good people.

After nearly a quarter century of making music together, Colorado jam-grass vets Yonder Mountain String Band are showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, with their new album Get Yourself Outside due out in February and a slew of tour dates on the books—their first full tour with new member, mandolinist Nick Piccininni—YMSB are as inspired and energized as ever.

The inaugural WWG in 2013 began in the parking lot of Crazy Mountain Brewery in Edwards, Colorado and has since grown to a multi-state, multi-genre extravaganza. WinterWonderGrass has cemented it’s place in music festival folklore. With locations in Colorado, California, and Vermont and attracting music fans from all over the country this festival not only provides the infrastructure for world class music ranging from bluegrass, roots, folk and much more, it also provides world class skiing and riding at each location.

The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) is thrilled to announce the return of  the Suwannee Spring Reunion, set to take place Thursday through Sunday, March 17-20, 2022 at SOSMP in Live Oak, FL.

Coming up on their 25th anniversary as a band, Colorado jam-grass pioneers Yonder Mountain String Band continue to innovate and evolve, and on February 25th, 2022, will unveil Get Yourself Outside—their first studio album with new member, mandolinist Nick Piccininni. “Nick is an incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist. He’s also a great singer with a magnetic stage presence,” says YMSB guitarist and co-founder Adam Aijala.

On November 20th, jamgrass instigators Yonder Mountain String Band made their way to the north country in Colorado for the final night of their extensive 5 week, twenty-three show, cross country fall tour. As expected, the quintet gave it their all to the regional Kinfolk, delivering a fantastic two-set throw down to a sold-out crowd at Washington’s in Fort Collins.
