Acclaimed musician/singer/songwriter Gary Louris has announced his new album Jump For Joy will release on June 4 via Sham/Thirty Tigers. Written, performed and produced entirely by Louris himself, Jump For Joy is his first solo release since 2008’s Vagabonds.

Streaming as a live YouTube event on M​arch 13th and 14th at 7pm CST / 8pm EST, Pedals: The Musical is the world’s first-ever historically accurate musical comedy about guitar and guitar pedals.

Today, the Nashville-via-London duo Ida Mae announced their new sophomore album Click Click Domino, which follows their critically-acclaimed EP Raining For You and breakout debut Chasing Lights. The husband-wife duo has also shared the title track from the record, which features a blistering guitar performance from Marcus King. Click Click Domino will be released on July 16th, through Thirty Tigers.

Today, Austin-based musician Danny Golden announced an April 23rd release date for his new EP Changes. The announcement comes with the first single “I Can’t Change” — Under The Radar praised the song’s “inviting melodies and plainspoken lyrical approach” along with its “towering layers of shoegaze guitars and crashing percussion.”

Today, the New Orleans-based six-piece band Sweet Crude announced Dualité: a new double A-side singles series where the group will release pairs of songs where one is sung in Louisiana French and the other in English. In celebration of Mardi Gras, the band released the first installment today with two brand new songs “La Rêveuse” and “Under New Moons.”

GRAMMY award-winning artist, producer, actor, and activist Wyclef Jean released an Amazon Original cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love.” “I chose ‘Is This Love’ because love is timeless and we must always remember love conquers hate,” Wyclef says of the song, which is being released in honor of what would have been Bob Marley’s 76th birthday on February 6th. The track is available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music.

NY-based artist The Bones of J.R. Jones announced today his new EP A Celebration will release on March 19th. Inspired by the American Southwest, it was written on his honeymoon during trips to Tucson, Bisbee, Joshua Tree, and other desert destinations. The six-song collection is everything its title promises: a celebration of the thrill of getting lost in something new, whether it’s a landscape, a sound, a perspective, or all of the above.

In October 2018, Robert Glasper settled into the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City for a month-long residency several nights of which featured the new dream team collective R+R=NOW with Glasper on keys, Terrace Martin on synthesizer, vocoder, and alto saxophone, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah on trumpet, Derrick Hodge on bass, Taylor McFerrin on synthesizer, and Justin Tyson on drums.

The Seattle-based soul-jazz groove-machine Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio announced I Told You So, their sophomore studio album out January 29th via Colemine Records.

The Jayhawks have announced a special live stream event on November 29 featuring the band’s classic album Sound of Lies. Following their October XOXO stream, the band will perform the album in its entirety while sharing stories about its creation. Released in 1997, Sound of Lies is the first album featuring the current Jayhawks lineup – Gary Louris, Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg and Tim O’Reagan – as well as guitarist Kraig Johnson, who will also perform with the group.
