Sol Roots recently released a psychedelic video showcasing a unique, original, funky arrangement of Grateful Dead's "Sugaree" from the album 'Live at The Hamilton'. The EP was recorded live in front of a sold-out audience in February 2020 in Washington D.C. The recording offers an enticing blend of funk, jam, roots, and blues that prove light-hearted and fun, while also being soulful and sincere.

Moving to Nashville to break out in the Americana/Country music scene is a rite of passage for young bands, but rarely does a bands story have them moving out of Nashville. Well, that’s exactly what The Rough & Tumble did, heading out on the road and living out of a 16’ camper touring the country with two dogs.

Ervin Stellar made the long journey, physically and musically, from New York City to Nashville a few years ago. And his forthcoming release, Nothing to Prove, actually proves quite a lot. Musically, it vibes Americana but the songwriting is well steeped in the folk tradition. He's a formidable songwriter and musician who has great taste in music, evident in his cover selections (read more about those in our interview with him below).

Jon LaDeau is a guitarist, songwriter, and singer based in Brooklyn, N.Y. Over the past 12 years, he has toured internationally in support of four solo albums, shared festival bills with Jeff Tweedy, Emmylou Harris, Sturgill Simpson, and Commander Cody and has toured nationally as a sideman with Kelli Scarr, April Smith and The Great Picture Show, and others. Since 2014 Jon has also found a home as a member of The National Reserve.
