Arise Music Festival announces their newest project: Arise Online, premiering on Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. MST with a concert from the Magic Beans captured at the legendary Colorado Sound Studios in Denver. “During ongoing uncertainty related to the pandemic, we wanted to keep our community alive, supported and relevant,” says Arise producer Luke Comer, “so we are introducing “Online” to create, capture and distribute musical, artistic and other content. We are hoping ARISE Online will be relevant during the pandemic and then live on, afterwards.” Arise has partnered with the legendary Colorado Sound Music Studios to capture audio and video content at the highest quality. “This is not the usual, pandemic production—but much higher quality,” says Comer.

ARISE is thrilled to present one of Colorado’s neo-jam favorites, Magic Beans. With their signature combination of soul, rock and funk, Magic Beans have performed at festivals and venues across the country, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and their very own Beanstalk Music Festival in Colorado. Their latest album “Off Leash” weaves the dimensions from chosen genres to build a distinct, neo-jam sound, pushing limits both on stage and in studio.

In line with its passion for artistic expression and creative collaboration, ARISE asserts its standing commitment to support musicians, artists and venues, even when circumstances demand a creative approach. With the support of Westword, KGNU, Rocky Mountain Virtual, NoCapShows and other strategic partners, ARISE anticipates a lineup of performances of all kinds to carry us through the pandemic and beyond. Whether online or live, the Arise vision rocks on.

ARISE Online, an online streaming experience by Arise Music Festival, returns on Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. MST with electronic duo Spectacle and live painter Laura McGowan. Produced and orchestrated at Colorado Sound Studios, fans can stay safe at home or catch a watch party with friends—or even, an online stream slumber party at A-Lodge Boulder—and enjoy a high-quality production of electronic music, live painting, exclusive interviews, interactive chats and virtual hangouts.

ARISE shared thoughts to their fans, “ARISE Online may seem different, even a little unusual, but we envision it will also remind us that we are here together, for each other, watching quality concerts together, dancing together, loving together, and supporting our community together,” according to a statement made by ARISE. Owner, producer and engineer of Colorado Sound Studios Kevin Clock went on to elaborate on ARISE Online and share about their work with ARISE to push the limits of live music with an online streaming experience. "It has been an honor to match the same standards of excellence upheld by Arise Online, and the level of talent in the artists they work with, by providing high quality production through Colorado Sound Studios,” says Kevin Clock. “We are so excited to keep this thing going and look forward to future collaborations.”

ARISE’s featured artist, Spectacle, is a two-piece outfit hailing from Denver, Colorado. The duo’s unique instrumentation brings a multi-dimensional sound not typically heard in the electronic music scene. Breaking the mold of traditional EDM by incorporating jazz, funk, classical, Afro-Cuban beats, and live instrumentation, Spectacle is known to create a highly stimulating experience both live and online.

Joining Spectacle on stage is self-taught artist and live painter, Laura McGowan. She began painting in 2012 after an incident caused her to lose her vision for weeks. Unable to focus on the objective world, Laura had an unspeakable amount of time to envision and dream. Once recovered, she was left with permanent damage to her vision but that didn’t stop her and want and need to create art!

Tickets to the online streaming event start at $10.00 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Sweet Relief Musicians Fund to help musicians and music industry workers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. The stream will be available on NoCapShows.com. Viewers can upgrade their ticket to meet the band after the show with a one-on-one virtual Meet and Greet on Arcivr.com.

In support of the local music and hospitality community in Colorado, ARISE is also teaming up with A-Lodge to provide an elevated online streaming experience. On April 22, Mike Love, Satsang, Mystic Grizzly, Block 1750, artist John Speaker and more will perform on ARISE Online: Earth Day 2021, a free virtual benefit concert to celebrate and help continue to strengthen the relationship between music, nature and humankind. Luke Comer, owner and producer of ARISE Music Festival and ARISE Online, shares, “ARISE is pleased to offer our community: soulful music, dazzling dance, visionary art, superb production and, with some help from our viewers, more trees for the state of Colorado. ARISE is devoted to using art to inspire care and action for our planet.”

Random Rab, the master of inventive experimentalism and emotion, will perform a special online concert with live painters Morgan Mandala and Randal Roberts and dancer Alex Tomassian of Block 1750 on Thursday, May 20 at 8:00 p.m. MDT.

ARISE Online presenting Random Rab will be produced and orchestrated at the legendary Colorado Sound Studios with the free online broadcast set to feature full-length performances, concert-quality set designs, live painting, dance, exclusive interviews, creative fan interactions and more. ARISE’s featured artist, Random Rab, has served as a vessel for messages within our hearts since 1998. More than just a DJ or producer, Rab has evolved into a whimsical wizard, creating songs of faith and devotion, and inspiring a generation of dreamers to go deeper. The master of ceremony returns to ARISE with new music, funky wardrobe changes and a provocative online journey.

Also, taking the stage is Alex Tomassian, a Colorado-based contemporary dancer of Block 1750 who uses her art to express a relationship between flow and control.

With the recent purchase of a 1,000-plus-acre property in Boone, Arise Music Festival announces its new home “The Cradle,” an upgraded location positioned to take Arise to the next level.

After losing its site at Loveland’s Sunrise Ranch, Arise quickly recognized the advantage of owning the festival’s setting. Seeking to build on the previous Arise Music Festival experience, Arise desired to enhance the event with a picturesque backdrop while elevating the sense of community it encourages. “Because Arise owns the property, we are able to master plan for our future – to create, over time, a festival that is functional, innovative and beautiful, and that provides our patrons with one of the most epic and uplifting experiences on earth. For this and other reasons, we are calling our new home ‘The Cradle,’” stated Luke Comer, producer of Arise.

After a year of researching locations throughout Colorado, Comer selected an organic farm and ranch nestled on the borders of Pueblo and Crowley Counties. Located approximately two hours from major cities in Colorado and within reach of New Mexico, Arise looks forward to expanding accessibility to a larger community of fans. With 10 times the acreage of the previous site, the property boasts 400 acres of irrigated land, abundant cottonwood trees offering needed shade for attendees, and picturesque views of the Arkansas River flowing along the border. Patrons will find green, dust-free fields with comfortable, flat campgrounds. Additionally, the locale provides distance from neighbors, ample electricity, potable and irrigated water, and easy access via paved roads.

ARISE Music Festival

Beyond the new location, Arise celebrates building the festival community again and bringing back activities anticipated by fans. As in previous years, the festival will feature multiple stages with live music spotlighting funk, reggae, bluegrass, jam, hip-hop, rock, electronic and folk performances. Festival offerings will also span yoga, camping, workshops, art installations, dance, design and theater. “We intend to stay true to our roots, but I also think of this new location as our blank canvas where we can reinvest many of the ideas behind festivals in general,” said Comer.

Reception by local governments and neighbors has been supportive, and Arise aims to act as a complementary member of the surrounding community. In off-festival months, the property will continue operation as both farm and ranch with focus on preserving the natural habitat and native wildlife.

Planning for future festivals is currently underway with the 2022 Arise Music Festival already in motion. Arise expects to make a final decision for a possible 2021 festival in the next six weeks.

Independently owned and operated from its headquarters in Boulder, Arise Music Festival coordinates many art modalities to create beautiful, meaningful and powerful experiences for participants. Arise features multiple genres of music – jam, electronica, rock, bluegrass, funk and reggae – as well as dance, yoga, design, theater, workshops and speakers. Arise seeks to entertain and engage participants with vibrant and transformative experiences that inspire a sense of community and caring.

ARISE Music Festival announced today the launch of its newly redesigned logo and website, reflecting the promise of an innovative and enhanced festival experience at their recently unveiled new home, The Cradle. To celebrate, ARISE will soon offer a limited quantity of Early ARISER festival passes for ARISE Music Festival 2022 scheduled for May 27 – 30 in Boone, Colorado.

The new logo retains the iconic image of ARISE and its sun, which has been refashioned to bring together both the authentic, innovative aesthetic of ARISE Music Festival and the natural power of art and its landscape. Overlooking it all is the Red-Tailed Hawk, representing the festival’s respect for mother nature and devotion to create an ascending, transformative experience. Luke Comer, producer of ARISE Music Festival explains, “Because trees are plentiful on our new site, we featured both raw and digitally designed, engraved wood, creating an organic but futuristic look. We also incorporated the colors of our new location: green for the grass, blue for the sky and water, and gold and amber for the sun. In one glance, we hope the logo expresses the beauty, uplift and positivity of our festival, as well as our love of nature.”

Under its new tagline, “Community through Creativity,” ARISE embraces its long-established mission to serve as a vehicle for community-building and creating intentional experiences through many artistic modalities: music, art, yoga, theater, workshops, speakers, healers and even more immersive experiences now in development for 2022. “At ARISE,” Luke Comer continues, “we want people to feel connected and open to the whole community around them—and use that feeling to enhance the depth of their experience.”

On the new ARISE Festival website, www.arisefestival.com, festival-goers can easily navigate and find information regarding all of the festival’s activities: The Cradle, music, art, camp, new immersive projects, photo memories, sizzle reels, announce dates, presales and more.

During the pandemic, ARISE purchased their own land entitled "The Cradle," an organic ranch and farm along the Arkansas River, about two hours south of Denver. Additionally, the land contains 400 acres of irrigated grasslands and hundreds of trees. For the future, ARISE will strive to cultivate one of the most functional, spectacular and epic festivals in the world while continuing to grow our audience.

With less than two weeks until we are to ARISE together, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of ARISE Music Festival. Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we have been forced to cancel the festival scheduled to take place this Memorial Day weekend. Countless hours, thought, energy and effort have gone into cultivating the vision for ARISE while honoring the festival community that helped create it. Ultimately Pueblo County Planning Department canceled our special event application because the Pueblo Sheriff and CDOT did not approve the festival for reasons that are not clear.

Over the past two years, ARISE Music Festival has been presented with numerous challenges: loss of the special event permit in Larimer County; producers going their separate ways; a worldwide pandemic; and a community scattered. Despite the challenges, festival owner and producer Luke Comer has remained committed to revitalizing the festival as an innovative, beautiful and intentional experience. The cancellation of ARISE is not the future that the festival had hoped to confront. After almost ten years in production, it is with a heavy heart that the festival must shut its doors permanently. Every employee, artist, vendor, partner and ticket buyer will be impacted so this decision has been excruciating to make.

We remain humbled by your love and grateful for 12 years of support, enlightenment, healing, music, art and community. Be well, stay positive and spread your light to others.

All refunds for ARISE Music Festival will be issued in as little as 30 days. Questions regarding refunds can be submitted at contact.frontgatetickets.com or emailed to [email protected].

We hope your summer has been filled with positivity, self-expansion, outdoor adventures, and of course, lots of live music! Despite the challenge we’ve faced this year, we’ve loved watching our community embrace change and new experiences. You are nothing less than inspiring in understanding that this world keeps spinning, and music heals all wounds.

We are forever indebted for your support of independent music festivals in this crowded space of live music. As you’ve seen, supporting independent festivals is critical at a time when big national promoters continue to open festival after festival. That is why we are recommending you support our good friends at High Ground Music & Arts Experience 2022, returning to Colorado in just a few weeks at the Denver Polo Club.

Like ARISE, High Ground embraces the beauty of Colorado and offers fantastic local, national and international acts that embody chill, vibey, live-performed fusions of electronic, funk and indie-based music. High Ground also celebrates local visual artists, mindfulness and well-being activities and so much more.

High Ground takes place on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 with artists like Troyboi, Chromeo, TOKiMONSTA, What So Not, Gioli & Assia and Elohim. Some of our favorite ARISE alumni, including Maddy O’neal, Ill-Esha, Lucid Vision and Spectacle, will be making their High Ground debut as well!
