Wave Spell Live will once again take over the idyllic locale of Belden Town Resort in Belden Town California. Intimate forested stage environments, which include a beach stage and swimming in the river by the beach, make it one of the nations most beautiful festival venues. Wave Spell Live offers a unique look into both the community ethos and famously forward-thinking sonic fusion upon which STS9 has built its trailblazing legacy.

STS9 will be playing 9 total sets throughout the weekend, including 3 unique one-of-a-kind Wave Spell sets. For those who don’t know, Wave Spell is STS9 in its rawest form. Where there are no setlists or conversations about what to play, just tap into the moment and let the music happen. It’s a conversation where the speaking is solely done with instruments. A time for complete exploration. It’s a series dedicated to the belief that music is one of the most powerful forces in nature. It casts its spell through waveforms carrying sound and light, moving energy and frequencies through our mind, body and soul.

Hello Friends of Cervantes'!

As you know, all venues, restaurants and bars in Colorado are now closed through May 11 to help contain the spread of Covid-19. Our awesome & dedicated staff are suddenly out of work & will need money for rent, food, utilities, healthcare, etc.  Any amount you can give will be divided among all of our staff:  door staff, production, bartenders, bar backs and box office.

In the meantime, stay safe, healthy and support the local musicians who are doing live streams and lessons online.

We're in this together and look forward to getting down with you all soon.

We love you and we'll be back!

Imagine a world where we’re back to dancing to live music! This reality might seem a bit far away, and that’s why our friends that work in the live event industry need your support through this intermission. Their specialized skill sets do not apply to other industries and with unemployment being high right now, they’re unable to find another source of income. So far, Positive Legacy has raised and distributed over $65,000 to live event industry workers to help provide support for rent, groceries and utilities.

COVID-19 Relief Funding recipient Julien in New Orleans shared, "Allow me to personally thank you for approving my application. I am totally thankful for the efforts of everyone at Positive Legacy. Facing financial difficulty in these unprecedented times, this grant is of incredible help. Thank you!”

Together, we’ve achieved a lot but our work doesn’t stop here. We need to continue our relief funding, as the industry is still unable to return to work. Help us by committing to Make Monthly Magic and 'Become a Positive Legacy Leaver' today! Alone we can do so little but together we can do so much!

Sign up today as a monthly donor to receive a special gift! When you elect to become a recurring, monthly donor with Positive Legacy, you will Make Monthly Magic by committing to the communities we serve and to improving the environment. This easy and efficient way of giving provides Positive Legacy with a reliable income stream, allowing us to focus more on helping integrate music and service to benefit people and the environment to create a lasting impact. Plus, your monthly gift reduces our administrative costs so we can put even more of your donation dollars to work for people and the planet!

As the COVID-19 pandemic continued to ravage the live music industry, venues like Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom & The Other Side in Denver, CO struggled to come up with ways of staying afloat while engaging our lifelong patrons. Knowing that Colorado hosts an abundance of uber-talented graphic designers, we launched a design contest with cash prizes for new Cervantes’ merchandise designs. We wanted to engage the local artist community and find out what Cervantes’ means to them and see how they would translate that into their own artwork. As soon as the finished designs began to roll in, we knew we had a great thing going. Through month-long internal deliberations combined with online patron voting, we whittled down the catalog of nearly 40 design entries into a list of the top 10. After reaching out to each of the top 10 artists to get personal depictions explaining why they created the design they did, the 10 designs were then ranked and prizes given out.

Designer's Inspiration: ANDREW SONDHEIM

support your local venues!

“My design started with the eye derivative of the Cervantes' Masterpiece Logo and also utilized the rays found in The Other Side Logo. Beyond the logo, the eye is representative of the close-up, intimate experience that comes with the venue. A lot of the acts I've seen at Cervantes' have had psychedelic elements and been funky in nature so I wanted the feeling of my design to reflect that. From there, I contained all the design elements wrapping them into a twisted hourglass shape and paired it with a font that felt similarly experimental.”

We then built a brand new online merch store with over 35 different new products to choose from featuring the designs of these local artists. Once the store was launched, we were blown away by the response from the online community as we began to fulfill hundreds of orders from all across the country! The launch of this store could not have come at a better time as we face yet another government mandated shutdown and revert back to zero dollars in revenue with massive overhead expenses looming each month. We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a special holiday sale beginning Friday, November 27th offering 20% off all orders above $100! We have been floored by the willingness of our patrons to proudly represent Cervantes’ with this new merch line and greatly appreciate anyone willing to help us spread the word about this new method of supporting our home from afar.

Colorado-based powerhouse Eminence Ensemble is set to electrify audiences with a special performance of Pink Floyd's legendary album "Dark Side of the Moon," accompanied by none other than the iconic saxophonist Scott Page, known for his work with Pink Floyd and other notable bands like Toto and Supertramp. These unique performances will take place on April 18 at Nissi’s in Lafayette and April 19 at Cervantes’ Other Side in Denver, promising an unforgettable musical experience for fans as they embark on a journey through one of the best-selling albums of all time.

The collaboration between Eminence Ensemble and Scott Page began at Burning Man 2023, where they mesmerized a crowd of thousands with their rendition of "Dark Side of the Moon." Following the overwhelming success of their performance, the ensemble is bringing the magic back to Colorado for two exclusive shows during 4/20 week.

"Playing Dark Side of the Moon at Burning Man was a true dream. The serendipity was palpable - it was the 50th anniversary of the album, a full moon, and the level of presence among the band and audience was unrivaled," expressed Wil Snyder of Eminence Ensemble. Tanner Bardin, also of Eminence Ensemble, added, "It means a lot to bring these shows home to Colorado. Getting to perform an album that's been revered for over 50 years, with someone like Scott Page who's a literal living rock and roll history book, is mind-blowing."

Audiences at these shows have the rare opportunity to witness "Dark Side of the Moon" performed in its entirety, in addition to other fan favorites, accompanied by a member of Pink Floyd, in a truly intimate setting.

Looking back on the Dark Side set from Burning Man, Justin Neely of Eminence Ensemble reflects: “For a moment, we weren’t on Earth… everyone on stage and in the crowd was somewhere much more cosmic. What was only an hour of music felt like a lifetime of fulfillment and happiness, all around. We’re honored and thrilled to recapture some of this same magic for the two upcoming Colorado shows.”
