In a glorious Philadelphia evening, Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) set the Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia stage ablaze with their musical fireworks as the Phillies triumphed and created their own display of on-field pyrotechnics. This was a night when the stars aligned, and the intersection of music and sports created an unforgettable experience for the “Dog Pound” faithful. The group of loyal and infectiously energetic fans showed up in force – packing out the venue to a tune of nearly 900 attendees. This marked the band’s biggest turnout (outside of The Stone Pony in their hometown Asbury Park) for a headlining show to date.

To show their appreciation for their dedicated fans who bought merch, the Dogs handed out free "Tooker Bars”, a tasty chocolate bar created by Asher's Chocolate Co. and adorned with “Mr. Tooker”-inspired artwork by rising scene artist/frequent band collaborator Andrew Sax (@somesaxyart).

DIAP took full advantage of the electric atmosphere, channeling the energy from the game into their own performance. As the Phillies clinched a thrilling playoff victory during the Dogs show, bursts of cheers and jubilation reverberated through the crowd. It was a celebration of epic proportions and the euphoria spilled over into the cozy spot located in the city’s vibrant Fishtown neighborhood.

The Brooklyn Bowl was transformed into a vessel of soundscape exploration, with the band taking the audience on a sonic journey through the synth-laden “Stranger” into a delectable cover of Daft Punk’s “Around The World”. The Tom Marshall written “You Didn’t Hear It From Me” came next – a surefire reminder of DIAP’s rapid upward trajectory during a year that has seen the quintet interviewed by the legendary Phish lyricist back in August at The Stone Pony.

A major highlight was the long-awaited return of the crowd favorite "G Song”. For the first time in 49 shows and since their performance in Bend, Oregon back in June, the Dogs resurrected the cherished tune. The anticipation was met with an especially epic rendition of the song, featuring an awe-inspiring peak that sent the room into a dancing frenzy of joy.

The band's debut of a duo of classic covers injected the setlist with spontaneity and freshness. Just the night before at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York, they had surprised fans with a first-time cover of Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel”. But the surprises continued in The City of Brotherly Love as they unveiled a never-before-heard rendition of Steve Miller Band's "Fly Like an Eagle”, a choice of song that couldn't have been more appropriate in the city known for its beloved Philadelphia Eagles. They also finished the show introducing their take on “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting”.

Right before the Elton John cut, the band's tour manager Kieran Tooker, affectionately known as Mr. Tooker, made a cameo appearance during the encore. Much to the delight of the Dog Pound, he brought a mic to help sing the encore, "Tookin' Around” – a song that encapsulates the family vibe DIAP sets out to create.

As the gig ended, the applause and roars echoed the spirit of an evening that combined the transcendence of live music and the thrill of playoff baseball. It was a night that continued to prove that the magic of a Dogs In A Pile show can truly create its own fireworks.

A live recording of the show is available on nugs or Bandcamp.

Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) announced their Summer Tour dates today – which includes return trips to Seattle (WA), Portland (OR), and Weiser (ID). The eight dates will also incorporate first time visits to the Colorado cities of Crested Butte, Vail, and Bellvue. Two shows in Montana – a first-time headlining date in Bozeman and an inaugural visit to Whitefish – will close out the June run.

DIAP will look to make up for an early 2023 show in Crested Butte that was canceled due to winter weather issues during their all-important “Colorado Residency”. Having built a strong fanbase in the region throughout the residency, the Dogs will play three free consecutive shows to reward their loyal “Dog Pound” in the Centennial State. Starting with an Alpenglow 2024 Concert Series show in Crested Butte, continuing with a Vail Hot Summer Nights Concert Series show in Vail, and concluding at The Mishawaka in Bellvue.

The Mishawaka – an iconic riverfront venue nestled in the mountains of northern Colorado – and Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater – a picturesque outdoor venue just 90 miles west of Denver – are particularly notable gigs for the quintet. Both will mark the band’s largest headlining shows in the state to date.

Forming in 2019 and hailing from Asbury Park, NJ – Dogs In A Pile is comprised of Berklee alumni and Billy Joel scholarship recipient Jeremy Kaplan (keyboardist), Berklee alumnus Brian Murray (guitarist) and Sam Lucid (bassist), and long-time Jersey Shore musicians Jimmy Law (guitarist) and Joey Babick (drums).

Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) will hit the road this fall following another wildly successful summer including headlining stops at Colorado’s Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and the famous Mishawaka, a joint tour with Andy Frasco & The U.N. and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and various marquee festival slots.

In addition to keeping their foot on the touring pedal, the band has also made a marked effort since the start of 2024 to significantly bolster their YouTube channel with video livestreams and archival full-show releases. Consistent soundboard releases have accompanied their video efforts and most often have appeared on trusted streaming platforms nugs.net and bandcamp within 24-hours of the show’s final note.

DIAP has also made strides in continuing to build a unique culture around the band by organizing several well-attended pre-show meetups for their beloved fanbase, the Dog Pound. To date, significant gatherings have occurred in cities such as Asbury Park (NJ), Denver (CO), Vail (CO), Austin (TX), and Woodstock (NY). A running schedule of future meetups can be found at dogsinapileofficial.com/dogpound.

The Dogs will start their next trek around the country close to home by playing a two-night stand at the Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia on October 25 and 26 – both shows are anticipated to sell out. They previously packed the renowned venue for one show in October of last year. The night featured a signature 21-minute “G Song” that was showcased as the opening track on the band’s live compilation “Doggie Bag Volume 1” – which is available on all major music streaming platforms.

Next, the quick-rising jammers will head to the newly opened Atomic Cowboy in St. Louis, MO on October 29. Then, Oklahoma City will host DIAP’s very first headlining Halloween show at Beer City Music Hall on October 31 – which will feature a holiday themed-set shaped by the adored video game series “Guitar Hero”.

On November 1 and 2, the band will return to Deep Ellum Art Co. in Dallas to play their only Texas shows of the tour. They performed a particularly high-octane show at the venue earlier in the year. They will then return to Colorado for three nights on November 6, 8, and 9 – in Buena Vista, Fort Collins, and Boulder respectively. The Dogs will also add a weekend Midwest swing to their calendar – with gigs at the new Vivarium in Milwaukee WI on November 15, Chop Shop in Chicago IL on November 16, and The Stache in the fast-growing Grand Rapids MI on November 17.

Dogs In A Pile will finish off the tour by playing a trio of shows in the South. They’ll take their mind-bending rock ‘n’ roll act to Asheville NC’s Salvage Station on November 19, Nashville TN’s Basement East on November 21, and Atlanta GA’s Terminal West on November 22.

Forming in 2019 and hailing from Asbury Park, NJ – Dogs In A Pile is comprised of Jeremy Kaplan (keyboards/vocals), Brian Murray (guitarist/vocals), Joey Babick (drums), Jimmy Law (guitarist/vocals), and Sam Lucid (bassist/vocals).

Off the heels of announcing a comprehensive fall tour, Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) will return to Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY, for their second-ever headlining New Year’s Eve run. Last year’s inaugural holiday affair sold out two nights at the upstate New York venue.

To ring in 2025, their dynamic performances – already known for their high-improvisational prowess – will be put to the test over the course of four nights (December 28 to 31). Combined with their extensive catalog of genre-diverse originals and fan-favorite cover songs, the band prides itself on making each show as unique as the last.

Last year’s three-set December 31 show featured four original debuts ("Strangest Dreams," "The Bag," "Shenanigans," "My Disguise"). Since their first performances, these tunes have largely become mainstays in the band’s shows – with "Shenanigans" being played live on Radio Woodstock (100.1 WDST) during the quintet’s visit to the long-standing station this past March. Additionally, "My Disguise" – written and sung by DIAP’s keyboardist Jeremy Kaplan – has been showcased at multiple large-scale events such as Peach at the Beach and Great South Bay Music Festival.

For this year’s celebration, fans will have the option to purchase a 4-day pass, as well as individual nights available for purchase separately. All ticket information can be found at https://dogsinapileofficial.com/nye. Formed in 2019 and hailing from Asbury Park, NJ, Dogs In A Pile is comprised of Jeremy Kaplan (keyboards/vocals), Brian Murray (guitar/vocals), Joey Babick (drums), Jimmy Law (guitar/vocals), and Sam Lucid (bass/vocals).

Eggy and Dogs In A Pile will join forces to light up The Capitol Theatre for a two-night run on November 29-30 – presented by Relix. This collaboration arrives as both bands are experiencing breakout years – touring across the country and capturing national attention. Eggy is gearing up for the release of their new album Waiting Game on September 6. The band is slated to set out on a lengthy tour this fall in support of the new record with notable appearances at Austin City Limits and Sea.Hear.Now. This year has seen the band perform at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheatre (in support of Blues Traveler), as well as selling out shows in Brooklyn (NY), Toronto (ON), Philadelphia (PA), Washington D.C., and more.

"It's not often that a place lives up to its hype, even more rare to exceed expectations. The Cap is one of those special places that words never quite do justice. We've had the opportunity to experience the magic as fans and have now gotten to share the stage in support of Twiddle, The Disco Biscuits, and Umphrey's McGee. To be able to deliver a show as a headlining band (alongside our good friends, Dogs In A Pile, no less!) is an absolute dream come true. We can't wait to celebrate this weekend with everyone,” said Eggy drummer Alex Bailey.

Dogs In A Pile has been making significant strides in 2024, selling out headlining shows in major cities such as Washington D.C., Austin (TX), and Denver (CO). They’ve performed at the iconic Colorado venue The Mishawaka and captivated larger audiences on a three-band tour with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco & The U.N. The quintet will soon embark on an extensive fall tour and are slated to open for The String Cheese Incident on September 28 at Wonderland Forest. The band is also in the process of recording their forthcoming album, set for release in 2025.

“This two-night run is the culmination of what both bands have been working towards for a long time. We are lucky to share it with each other and even luckier to share it with the folks that frequent a first-class venue like The Capitol Theatre,” said Dogs In A Pile keyboardist Jeremy Kaplan.

Each night will feature an alternating closer, as Eggy and Dogs In A Pile will both perform approximately 90-minute sets on Friday and Saturday night. The evenings will culminate in a special collaborative encore where both bands will come together for a closing song – blending their distinct sounds and creating a one-of-a-kind memorable musical experience for fans in attendance.

In addition to this exciting team-up, Eggy and Dogs In A Pile will continue The Capitol Theatre's beloved "Frendsgiving" tradition, previously hosted by Twiddle. Both Eggy and the Dogs have opened for Twiddle at the famed metro-New York City space in the past – making it a fitting honor for them to take over the cherished event. Just as Twiddle has done in the past, both bands are proud to carry on the tradition of helping support a local charity during the holiday season.

Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) is excited to announce additional headlining shows in Richmond, Baltimore, and the Boston area as part of their already robust 2024 Fall Tour. This announcement continues to build momentum for the band following the recent news of their Relix-presented co-headlining debut at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, with Connecticut-based quartet Eggy on November 29 and 30.

The newly added East Coast shows are:

• December 5: The Broadberry – Richmond, VA
• December 6 and 7: The 8x10 – Baltimore, MD
• December 13 and 14: The Sinclair – Cambridge, MA

These dates complement their previously announced Fall Tour stops, including a highly anticipated two-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia on October 25 and 26. They also recently performed “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at Citizens Bank Park on August 28 during a Philadelphia Phillies game.

Additionally, they will open for The String Cheese Incident on September 28 at Wonderland Forest, perform a Halloween “Guitar Hero”-themed show at Beer City Music Hall in Oklahoma City on October 31, and appear at several performances across Texas, Colorado, the Midwest, and the Southeast. The band plans to conclude their 2024 performance schedule with a four-night run at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY, from December 28 to 31. A yet-to-be-announced December 21 date will mark their final show of the year.

On January 11, DIAP will take the stage at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA. The tour continues with two nights in Nevada City, CA, at the Crazy Horse Saloon & Grill on January 14 and 15.

Next, the band will perform their first headlining show in San Francisco, CA, on January 17 at the Rickshaw Stop. They will then head to Chico, CA, to play at Lost on Main on January 18, followed by a performance at the Felton Music Hall in Felton, CA, on January 19.

The tour also includes a stop in Arcata, CA, at the Arcata Theatre Lounge on January 21. The Dogs will then take their high-energy and quick-rising act to the Pacific Northwest, starting at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle, WA, on January 24, and wrapping up with a double-header at The Get Down in Portland, OR, on January 25 and 26.

No strangers to the Western side of the country, DIAP has put in a significant amount of groundwork over the last few years in the region. Since their first show in California at Skull & Roses festival in April 2023, the band has played an additional 26 gigs in the Golden State alone – most notably setting up shop for a month of headlining residency shows in Los Angeles and San Diego in April 2024.

Dogs In A Pile will embark on a lengthy Fall Tour starting this Friday at Philadelphia’s Brooklyn Bowl. The two-night run on October 25 and 26 is anticipated to sell out. The band recently announced that it will continue its fan-favorite yearly tradition in Philadelphia of offering complimentary “Mr. Tooker”-themed chocolate bars with the purchase of any merch item.

Dogs In A Pile (DIAP), fresh off a two-night co-headlining run with Eggy at The Capitol Theatre, have announced their return home to Asbury Park, New Jersey, on Saturday, December 21. After making their Stone Pony Summer Stage debut during their tour with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco & The U.N. in May, DIAP will take the yearly holiday party to the indoor stage, continuing the tradition of celebrating a year full of marquee accomplishments.

Last year’s multi-night sellout featured sit-ins from legendary photographer Danny Clinch, former Spin Doctors guitarist Anthony Krizan, and former Twiddle frontman Mihali during the first night. The second night saw former Twiddle drummer Adrian Tramontano join on percussion for the entirety of the show’s second set.

Before their Stone Pony date, the Dogs will play five East Coast shows to formally close out their 2024 Fall Tour: one night in Richmond, VA, at The Broadberry on December 5; two nights at The 8x10 in Baltimore, MD, on December 6 and 7; and two nights at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA, on December 13 and 14.

The band will wrap up the year with a four-night run at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY, marking their longest consecutive multi-night run at a single venue. When asked about the New Year’s event, DIAP guitarist Jimmy Law said:

“We’ve been discussing how big of a rotation we can manage. I think we can do a six-night rotation with no repeats. It’s a good number to create a cohesive journey for everyone and use all our songs in their best spots. So, I think we’re all up for the challenge!”

In addition to filling out next summer’s festival schedule with slots at Goose’s curated festival Viva El Gonzo (Mexico), Mountain Jam (Highmount, NY), All Good Now (Columbia, MD), and Zootown (Missoula, MT), the Dogs have already announced a flurry of 2025 Winter Tour headlining dates across the West, Midwest, and South, with more spring dates to come in the following weeks.

Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) have announced their 2025 Spring Tour, which includes a number of return trips to cities featuring larger venues.

The tour begins with their headlining debut at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY, on March 28 and 29 – their first visit to the premier NYC venue since October 2021. The band will then make stops in Bethlehem, PA (April 3) and Buffalo, NY (April 5). In between those dates, they will play their largest indoor Western PA venue yet at Mr. Smalls in Pittsburgh (April 4). DIAP will follow with a string of Midwest performances in Ferndale, MI (April 8), Cleveland, OH (April 9), and Columbus, OH (April 11), before heading further west to Kalamazoo, MI (April 12), Madison, WI (April 13), and Indianapolis, IN (April 15). On April 16, the tour continues in Chattanooga, TN, at Barrelhouse Ballroom.

The spring run also includes several Southern shows, including Charlottesville, VA (April 18) – where a standout October 2023 performance at The Southern Café and Music Hall earned them a headlining slot at the Jefferson Theater. With several past sellouts in Raleigh, NC, the Dogs will invite the Dog Pound to join them at the Lincoln Theatre on April 19.

DIAP will then head down the coast to Wilmington, NC (April 20), Charleston, SC (April 22), and several Florida cities: debuts in Fort Lauderdale (April 24), St. Petersburg (April 25), Orlando (April 26), and a return trip to Jacksonville (April 27).

The tour wraps up with two shows in New Orleans, LA, during Jazz Fest at Chickie Wah Wah on April 29 and May 3, before the band heads to Mexico for Viva El Gonzo in San José Del Cabo on May 8, 9, and 10.

In addition to these new spring dates, Dogs In A Pile recently announced that they will support Greensky Bluegrass on March 8 in Chicago, IL, at the indoor stage of the Salt Shed. This will mark a quick return to the Windy City following a visit in November 2024 at the Chop Shop – where they debuted a fan-favorite tune appropriately named “Chop Shop.”
