Daemon Chili is excited to announce their forthcoming album, Live in LowellVideos of this live performance will be released one-by-one, beginning with “Boston Blues” on July 7 and concluding with “Mercy of the Sea” on October 4. The album’s official singles “Lay Your Burden Down” and “Take Sounding” will be released on August 23 and September 20, respectively. Daemon Chili will headline the Lowell Celebrates Kerouac festival on October 12 in Lowell, Mass.

Daemon Chili is a Boston-based American roots rock band. Formed in fall 2013 by Michael Dion (lead singer/songwriter/rhythm guitar/harmonica/lap steel), the band quickly gained regional traction by way of their energetic and powerful live performances. Dion, formerly of the acclaimed New England string band Hot Day at the Zoo, reworked much of the material from his former outfit and has created something entirely new and exciting (think Bob Dylan going electric at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival).

Dion is joined in Daemon Chili by Jason Moretti (lead guitar; formerly of Cotton Mouth), Jay Samiagio (bass; also formerly of Cotton Mouth) and Jay Breen (drums; formerly of the Freelance Bishops). Influenced by the eclectic sounds of such luminary acts as the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers and the Band, Daemon Chili fuses elements of rock, blues, folk, Americana, bluegrass and reggae into their sound.

California singer-songwriter Joss Jaffe is excited to announce his latest single, “Traveller.” "Traveller” is slated for release on Friday, April 17 with a music video. Two more singles, “Play It Again (feat. Kiyoshi)" and "Natural Rhythms (feat. Adam Knight)," will be released on April 20 and 22, respectively.

Joss Jaffe’s spring 2020 singles are three original songs exploring topics of love, life, intimacy, mortality and spirituality. Set to pulsing rhythms blending pop, hypnotic dub reggae and ambient trip-hop, Joss' clear and distinctive voice draws the listener in with a unique and catchy sound. His most recent album, "Meditation Music," a minimalist ambient soundscape in the vein of Brian Eno, debuted in the top 10 Billboard New Age Chart in 2019. His previous three albums comprising the "Dub Mantra" series merge sacred chants with reggae, dub, electronica, pop and traditional world music to critical acclaim.

Jaffe maintains an active tour schedule performing in Asia, Europe and Australia and has been featured on the West Coast festival circuit appearing at Beloved, Lucidity, Lightning in a Bottle, Wanderlust, Oregon Country Fair and more. In 2017 he played at over 22 festivals worldwide including Rainbow Serpent in Australia, Luminate in New Zealand and Korea Yoga Conference in South Korea. He has collaborated with Grammy-winning reggae vocalist Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru, as well as Jai Uttal, Dave Stringer and Donna De Lory.

Robby Rothschild is excited to announce his self-titled solo debut EP, which is slated for release on Friday, July 31. Formerly of the noted duo Round Mountain, Robby’s distinctive style is an American folk music that is strongly influenced by a diverse blend of world musics that the musician has embraced and studied through his travels. The EP features guest performances by acclaimed flamenco guitarist Ottmar Liebert and Kip Winger, the hard rock superstar who has since led an eclectic solo career. “Smiling,” the lead single from the EP, was released on June 5.

“It’s easy to talk about musical traditions and the art of writing songs in the abstract,” Robby says, "but the concrete reality here is that these songs have sprung from the most difficult chapter of my life, and have returned me forcibly to the part of my navel that is music. I’m grateful to humanity—to the many hands that shaped the traditions, and to my friends whose hands and voices help me offer this music to you now.”

Robby Rothschild bio—

Singing songs of his own making, and accompanying them with instruments such as the West African kora, Irish bouzouki, piano, and hand percussion, Robby Rothschild draws from the dual wells of tradition and personal expression. Known for his work with his brother Char in the duo Round Mountain, as well as his recent international tours as percussionist for Kip Winger and Ottmar Liebert, Robby’s solo work represents a furthering of his search into musical wilderness. His musical studies include travels in Ireland and Mali, and immersion in their respective musics, as well as ear training at New England Conservatory of Music, orchestration studies in a municipal conservatory in Paris, and a master’s degree in composition from the University of New Mexico.
